Kevin Spacey Plays Sympathy Card Amidst Ongoing S*x Abuse Trial, Said He Came Out As Gay At 58 Because His Dad Was A ‘Neo-Nazi’ Bigot
Kevin Spacey has come up with a new way to gain sympathy in the eyes of the general public. The actor opened up about coming out as gay at the age of 58 because his father was a ‘neo-nazi’. The actor came out as gay after he was accused of making inappropriate sexual advances toward actor Anthony Rapp when Rapp was just 14. Spacey was then labeled as a fraud as it seemed like an attempt to gain sympathy but the actor explained that he took so long to come out because he was raised by a Neo-Nazi father. Since Rapp’s accusation, roughly 30 victims have come forward to share a similar story accusing the actor of sexual misconduct.
Kevin Spacey’s father was a Neo-Nazi
Actor Kevin Spacey revealed that he was hesitant to come out as gay because while growing up, his father “was a white supremacist and a neo-Nazi,” who “used to yell at” the actor when he began showing interest in theater “at the idea that I might be gay.” So this is the reason why the actor waited all this time to reveal this information. Shortly after Anthony Rapp’s accusations, the actor came out as gay but received heavy backlash from the LGBTQ+ community and then had to apologize.
Anthony Rapp accused Kevin Spacey of sexual misconduct
In 2020 after New York passed the Child Victims Act, actor Anthony Rapp accused Kevin Spacey of making unwanted sexual advances toward him at a party when he was just 14 and Spacey was 26. He stated that after meeting the actor backstage at a Broadway play, he later invited him to a party at his apartment in Manhattan. He alleged that while he watching TV in a bedroom, Kevin Spacey climbed on top of him and pinned him down on a bed, “I was frozen. I was pinned underneath him,” the actor claimed. Anthony Rapp is seeking $40 million in damages in the lawsuit. However, Kevin Spacey has denied making any sexual advances.
A lot of victims came forward
After Anthony Rapp’s lawsuit, many victims came forward to accuse the actor of the same. Roughly 30 people have accused the actor of sexual misconduct. Earlier this year, he was charged in the U.K. with four counts of sexual assault and one count of nonconsensual penetrative activity, to which he pleaded not guilty. Since the accusations, the actor’s career came tumbling down almost immediately he was removed from all of his future projects. The actor is well-known for his role as Frank Underwood in Netflix’s House of Cards.
