Kim Kardashian’s Crazy ‘Santa Baby’ Music Video Still Doesn’t Compare to Her 1 Disastrous Career Move That Resulted in a Class-action Lawsuit
- Kim Kardashian released a cover and a music video for 'Santa Baby'.
- Fans were also reminded about her QuickTrim diet pills lawsuit after watching the bizarre music video.
- Kim Kardashian's music video featured Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin.
Socialite, media personality, and businesswoman Kim Kardashian is one of the most influential people in the world. Kardashian, along with her family, started to appear on a reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and turned their name into a multimillion-dollar empire. She founded the shaping underwear company Skims in 2019, which has received a positive response from customers.
Kardashian is described as an example of being famous for being famous. The beauty mogul has also been involved in lobbying for prison reform and clemency. The social media star created buzz after she starred in American Horror Story and is now looking forward to not only serving as an executive producer but also starring in Hulu’s legal drama series All’s Fair. While Kardashian’s online influence is evident, some of her choices could potentially damage her reputation.
Kim Kardashian was sued for endorsing a weight loss supplement
According to reports by Reuters, Kim Kardashian, along with Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, was at the receiving end of a $5 million lawsuit for falsely touting the Quick Trim diet pills’ effectiveness for weight loss back in 2012. Plaintiffs who at the time lived in New York, California, and Florida and had stated that the QuickTrim pills were false, misleading, and unsubstantiated filed the lawsuit. However, the source at the time added,
The QuickTrim pills had a large dose of caffeine, mixed with herbal ingredients, which were never clinically proven as effective. TMZ reported that Bursor & Fisher filed a lawsuit on behalf of the customer’s comments and claimed $5 million in damages for deceptive marketing. The beauty mogul Kim Kardashian and her sister Khloe Kardashian claimed at the time that they had lost about 15 pounds using the pills.
Early last year, the sisters, along with their mother, fended off a $75 million lawsuit from the credit card company after they walked away with a debt card endorsement. Coming back to QuickTrim reports from Glamour suggest that QuickTrim has brought in about $45 million in revenue after the Kardashians promoted it.
The sisters, in response, requested their names be dropped from the lawsuit. They suggested that there are no rules or laws that hold a spokesperson responsible for false advertising.
Fans slam Kim Kardashian’s ‘Santa Baby’ cover as ‘bizarre’
As the world waits for Christmas, they did not expect Kim Kardashian to release a cover of Santa Baby accompanied by a music video. The video sees the reality TV star crawling through a house during what appears to be a party.
The reality TV star crawled past a donkey next to the Virgin Mary, Jesus raiding the refrigerator, and a woman trimming a Christmas tree. The video ends with someone dressed up as Santa Claus holding a video camera in front of his face who later was revealed to be Macaulay Culkin.
The bizarre music video was directed by Nadia Lee Cohen and Charlie Denis and was produced by her brother-in-law and musician Travis Barker. Fans were not happy after watching the video, as one of them commented, ‘What in the sleep paralysis lucid nightmare is this?’
Another user wrote, ‘… Merry Christmas? Why do you think this is worth sharing, let alone making? What do you think it says? What value do you think it has?’, while another just suggested Travis Barker stick to the drums.
This is just one of the recent things the SKIMS founder has been criticized for, as in November, she was lambasted on social media for posing in one of her SKIMS bra and underwear sets while wearing a rosary prominently around her neck. People commented that Kim Kardashian should know Holy Rosary is NOT a fashion accessory.
