An expert psychologist broke down her interview and gave an analysis of her thinking as an employer. In a recent appearance on Angie Martinez’s IRL podcast, the socialite revealed that her staffers are only allowed to wear neutral colors during work hours. The uniform is actually a specific color palette that they must follow. Many social media users criticized her harsh rules while many defended her saying that the rule is valid.
Kim Kardashian has a “uniform” for her staffers
Socialite Kim Kardashian recently appeared on Angie Martinez’s IRL podcast and revealed that she has “uniforms” for her employees. She revealed that it is not a strict uniform but it’s just color palettes. She further stated that she has a “handbook” for employees and as per that, the staff can wear “grays, heather gray, black, navy, white, cream, khaki.” Basically, all the neutral colors. She even revealed that she consulted her employees before introducing this rule.
A psychologist analyzed the socialite
Famous celebrity psychologist Jo Hemmings talked about the socialite’s recent interview and gave a detailed analysis of it. She said,
“People with type A personalities like Kim Kardashian love perfection, order, control, and tidiness. In her household, Kim will see her staff and what they do for her as an extension of herself. The uniforms she has given them fit in with this need for order and control. This will stifle their personality and creativity, where they may feel a loss of individuality, but will serve to placate Kim.”
She explained that the socialite has enforced this rule in order to feel more authoritative and wants her staff to have an identity that is an extension of her.
Kim Kardashian has a controlling nature
The psychologist further added that the specific color palette will enable the socialite to relax while having both power and authority at her workplace,
“Kim believes that being surrounded by quiet, muted colors will enable her to relax while having both power and authority over her surroundings. But her demands filter through to her staff and that they wear matching neutral uniforms, again showing that Kim needs to exercise control in her life. While this does homogenize her staff pool, it would perhaps make them feel that they have less option to show individual style in personality and workwear. Some people might find this stifling or belittling in some way.”
She was not wrong as many people on social media stated that the strict uniform rule will prevent her employees from completely expressing themselves at their workplace.
