Adam Sandler’s Daughters Didn’t Like Him Kissing Other Actresses
While appearing on the Jennifer Hudson Show to promote his animated feature Leo along with his daughters Sadie Sandler, 17, and Sunny Sandler, 15, actor Adam Sandler disclosed that his daughters hated the kissing scenes while watching his work. The Murder Mystery 2 star shared that the girls didn’t seem to be thrilled when they saw their father kissing another woman instead of their mother.
As Sadie and Sunny Sandler joined Sandler as the voice cast, the acclaimed actor shared that his youngest daughter’s reaction was always a bit more than his elder daughter’s after watching their father smooch actresses for his projects. Adam Sandler said:
“When I have to kiss anybody, they’re not thrilled about that…My wife is always telling them, ‘It’s OK. It’s part of the job. Let daddy kiss.”
Sandler explained how his younger daughter reacted and urged Jackie Sandler to watch her husband. He added:
“Sadie was always fine with it. Sunny would always be going over to my wife, saying, ‘You have to watch them. That’s not good. I don’t like that.”
The Blended actor and his family starred together in Netflix’s You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah which became a significant hit on the streamer. The story revolves around two best friends Stacy played by Sunny Sandler and Lydia played by Samantha Lorraine.
Adam Sandler’s Daughters Give Him The Most Joy
Adam Sandler hasn’t kept his kids under the extreme spotlight and media attention but has always shared what’s like to be a proud father. The Just Go With It star and his wife Jackie Sandler welcomed their elder daughter Saddie in 2006 and the younger Sunny in 2008. Adam Sandler once told HuffPost that:
“My kids give me the most joy, but there are life adjustments. I don’t go out to meet anyone after 9:30 at night. I eat dinner at 6 or 7. If someone makes me stay out until 10:30 at night, I’m angry the entire next day because I’m exhausted.”
Before starring in Netflix’s You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, Sandler’s kids have previously appeared in his other projects as well like Hubie Halloween. The Anger Management star once lightheartedly told Jay Leno on The Tonight Show (via People) how he dethroned his wife as Sadie’s favorite person.
“We’re very tight with this child – everything we do is about the kid, and the kid now all of the sudden worships me. It was my wife the whole time and then the last month or two, it’s all Sandler. It’s like anything I do, the kid wants to do.”
From a young age, Sadie Sandler was interested in accompanying her father on the sets and made her first appearance on-screen in his 2008 movie, You Don’t Mess with the Zohan.
