Elon Musk Announces Reading Limit On Twitter To Tackle Outage
Another day and an another new change has been introduced by the Twitter head, Elon Musk. Musk, the current owner of the social media platform announced on Saturday that the platform would apply “temporary limits” to Twitter accounts, including limiting the number of tweets accounts can read per day.
The latest changes have come into the picture amidst outage problems as thousands of users were unable to access the site. The Tesla CEO’s tweet said, “To address extreme levels of data scraping & system manipulation, we’ve applied the following temporary limits: – Verified accounts are limited to reading 6000 posts/day – Unverified accounts to 600 posts/day – New unverified accounts to 300/day”
Within hours the billionaire announced revisions to his initial announcement and later retweeted, “Rate limits increasing soon to 8,000 for verified, 800 for unverified & 400 for new unverified.” CNN reported that “Rate Limit Exceeded” and “#TwitterDown” became the top two trending topics on the platform after Musk’s announcement.

The recent issues grappling Elon Musk’s micro blogging site, Twitter is now taking a toll on its users. Not just the common man but even the celebrities are finding it difficult to keep up with Twitter’s never-ending challenges and rapid changes.
In a similar scenario, The Boys actor, Antony Starr, aka Homelander made an interesting Tweet today itself. His Latest Tweet read, “Let’s just all leave at once…”, while there was no other additional content but the words were enough to signify his frustration with the social media platform.
Soon after his fans and supporters joined the conversation replying that they would eagerly do it. Most of the replies are in support of Starr’s idea and this is not the first instance when people are venting out.
