‘Life Is Good….I’m Very Fortunate’: Alex Rodriguez on Ex Jennifer Lopez Getting Engaged With Ben Affleck, Calls Her ‘Greatest Performer in the World’
The news of Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez breaking off their engagement was quite a shock for the fans, who were by then expecting wedding pictures. Anyway, since splitting up with Rodriguez in March last year, JLo gave fans another (pleasant) surprise by getting back together with long-time ex-flame, Ben Affleck. The rekindled romance led to their getting engaged in April. Alex Rodriguez also seems to be thriving in his personal life. He was recently a guest on Martha Stewart’s iHeartRadio podcast and talked about how healthy, calm, and blessed he’s been feeling lately.

Alex Rodriguez has “no regrets”
On being asked by Martha Stewart what post-JLo life has been like, the 46-year-old baseball-player-turned-businessman said that he had “no regrets”. He further went on, “Life is good. I’m very fortunate. I wake up every morning and thank the good Lord for my health, for my beautiful daughters, who are now 17 and 14. That is my number one focus in life.”
Alex Rodriguez also confessed how there was no ill will in his heart for anyone or anything due to the split. He said, “Look, we had a great time. More importantly, we always put the kids front and center in everything we do. Here’s what I will tell you about Jennifer, and I was telling some of my colleagues here the other day, she’s the most talented human being I’ve ever been around.”
JLo “is the greatest performer”, says Alex Rodriguez
Rodriguez also appreciated his ex-fiancee with a great show of sportsmanship and genuine unconditional admiration. He said, “Hardest worker. And I think she is the greatest performer, live performer in the world today that’s alive.”
The couple’s doomed timeline
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez started dating back in 2017 and shared the news of their engagement with the fans in 2019. The couple spent the first part of the pandemic together like a family, with both of their kids together (JLo’s twins Maximilian “Max” David and Emme Maribel — whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony — and Rodriguez’s daughters Ella and Natasha with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis) making one big blended family. The two had to postpone their wedding due to the raging pandemic and soon after instead of a date, they announced their breakup.
