“Love will always be bigger than hate”: Hailey Beiber Wants to Put an End to Her Alleged Bad Blood With Justin Beiber’s Ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber share a history of internet feuds. Both women were in the spotlight for their fan-fueled drama that started on social media. Recently, the ladies took to Instagram and urged fans to try to be more thoughtful on social media and move on from the drama. After becoming the victim of internet hate, Bieber reached out to Gomez for support. And now the model claims that they have no bad blood for each other.
What was the drama all about?
The feud between Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez started in February after Gomez posted a TikTok video joking about accidentally over-laminating her eyebrows. Following Gomez’s video, Bieber posted a screenshot on Instagram of herself face-timing with Kylie Jenner a few hours later. The screenshot highlighted the close-ups of both their eyebrows. The incident became the reason for the internet feud as fans perceived it as a jibe at Selena Gomez.
Social media is now a platform for people to spread hate without even getting the context of the whole scenario. Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, and wife, Hailey Bieber have long denied having a feud. Despite the fact that their fans frequently find an opportunity to start an argument in the comment sections of their Instagram account.
Is everything sorted between Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez?
Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber made headlines when they posed for a joint photo at the 2022 Academy Museum Gala. Both the women declared on their end that they don’t have any bad blood. During an interview, Bieber said, “There’s no drama personally,” referring to the alleged feud between the two. Gomez also denied rumors of any dispute between the two of them. Last year, Gomez retracted digging at Bieber in a skin-care TikTok video. The singer wrote in the comment, “Zero bad intentions,” before deleting the video.
Why did Hailey Bieber reach out to Selena Gomez?
Recently, Selena Gomez posted a story on Instagram where she revealed that Justin Bieber’s wife reached out to her after receiving death threats on social media. On this, Gomez took to her Instagram story and posted,
“Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity. This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop.”
Later that day, Bieber also posted an Instagram story mentioning Selena Gomez and thanking her for speaking out. Bieber wrote,
“I want to thank Selena for speaking out, as her and I have been discussing in the last few weeks how to move past this ongoing narrative between her and I. Things can always be taken out of context or constructed differently that they were intended. We all need to be more thoughtful about what we post and what we say, including myself. In the end, I believe love will always be bigger than hate and negativity, and there is always an opportunity to meet each other with more empathy and compassion.”
Following the week of drama, Gomez gained over 20 million followers on Instagram. Meanwhile, Hailey Bieber has lost thousands of followers since the drama began.
