The Star Wars franchise has grown over the years. The franchise, with its films, has presented a plethora of strong Jedi masters of both the light and evil sides of the Force. They have displayed their prowess via amazing feats of strength. The Skywalkers, Anakin Skywalker, and his son Luke are the main characters in George Lucas’ tale and are undoubtedly the most well-known Jedi. But as the franchise has grown across the timeline, numerous other strong Jedi have been added to the world.
The upcoming addition to the franchise is Ahsoka. The series explores the journey of Ahsoka Tano, the Jedi Knight, seen in various Star Wars movies and series. The upcoming series is directed by Dave Filoni, who has helmed many Star Wars projects. The filmmaker while promoting Ahsoka, revealed who the greatest Jedi of all time is, sparking debate on the internet.

Dave Filoni reveals the greatest Jedi of all time
Jedi has been an essential character of the Star Wars franchise. Over the years, many powerful Jedi, are introduced by the franchise. One of the first characters fans ever encountered was Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker. Then there is Obi-Wan Kenobi, and even Master Yoda, who comes under the list of incredible Jedi.
However, Dave Filoni has given his verdict and picked the greatest Jedi of all time in the Star Wars franchise. The filmmaker has been associated with many Star Wars projects like Star Wars Rebels, The Mandalorian, and the upcoming Ahsoka.
While promoting his upcoming series, Filoni revealed who he believes to be the greatest Jedi. The director commented that Ahsoka was trained by the greatest Jedi of all time, referring to Anakin Skywalker.
Jon Favreau previously revealed why he feels Anakin is stronger than someone like Luke Skywalker. He said,
“I think it has to be Anakin, right? I mean it has to be. I mean who– a prime Anakin? And there’s so many different phases of it. Anakin faced so many more challenges… He was in his prime in a more dynamic period in Star Wars history, right?”
Comparing Ahsoka’s fighting techniques with Luke, Filoni said,
“Ahsoka’s technique should be very different. And technically, she’s had vastly more training than he ever has. She’s actually his senior, which is difficult for people to remember, because of when these characters were created.”
Anakin Skywalker, chosen as the greatest Jedi is not a surprise. He is the chosen one and has repeatedly shown strength in both the Republic and Emperor Palpatine’s Empire.

Ahsoka follows the solo journey of the Jedi knight
The upcoming Disney+ series Ahsoka follows the solo journey of Ahsoka Tano. The Jedi Knight transformed in Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008–2022) from an obstinate student to a patient Jedi Knight, and won the hearts of the fandom.
Many people thought her quest would end when she left the Jedi Order to start a new life, but in Star Wars Rebels (2014–2018), she continued to battle for justice.
The Jedi knight is returning for her solo journey in Ahsoka. The series storyline runs parallel to the events of The Mandalorian season 3. The series traces the journey of Ahsoka Tano, as she embarks on a mission to find the terrifying General Thrawn and locate the long-lost Ezra Bridger.
Ahsoka is set to hit Disney+ on August 23, 2023.
