Margot Robbie Lost American Horror Story Role Despite Her Best Audition Only for Series to Hire Kim Kardashian Later
Australian actor Margot Robbie is currently basking in the mammoth success of her fantasy drama Barbie. From starring opposite the biggest A-listers in Hollywood in 2013 released The Wolf Of The Wall Street to becoming one of the highest-paid actors in the world of entertainment currently- Margot Robbie became a prominent name within a very short period of time.
As we all know failure leads to success, Margot Robbie has had a fair share of ups and downs before making it large in Hollywood. Not many people know that the Suicide Squad actor was replaced by one of the biggest media personalities in American Horror Story.
Kim Kardashian Replaced Barbie Star Margot Robbie In The American Horror Story
The American Horror Story is coming up with one of the biggest surprise packages this time. The horror series would feature the Keeping Up With The Kardashian star for the first time. Ryan Murphy’s anthology is quite famous for its star-studded cast in every season. Part one of the series, Delicate will be launched in September.
American Horror Story: Delicate is based on Danielle Valentine’s book Delicate Condition. During an interview with the reputed media outlet, The Hollywood Reporter showrunner, Ryan Murphy spoke about having Kim Kardashian on board. He said-
“Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world, and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family. Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish, and ultimately terrifying role, especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.”
The star-studded cast of the first chapter includes- Cara Delevingne, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Matt Czuchry, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Emma Roberts, Leslie Grossman, Denis O’Hare, Billie Lourd, and Zachary Quinto.
Margot Robbie Had An Extremely Great Audition For American Horror Story
Margot Robbie was replaced by Kim Kardashian despite giving one of the best auditions for the role in American Horror Story. During an interview with media outlet Backstages’s In the Envelope: The Actor’s podcast, famous casting director Eric Dawson spoke about Margot Robbie’s audition for the American Horror Story in 2011. He was totally amazed by the acting prowess of the actor and said-
“Margot has a lot of ‘it’ factors. That’s the tough thing for casting directors who aren’t in the room [anymore] with actors. Margot is probably one of my favorites auditions of all time, and it was right before she broke out. She was such a star. It was crazy, her star appeal when she walked into the room.
He further added-
Even though she didn’t get that role, that was one of those things as a casting director where you go: This is a star, what do we do with her? Immediately, though, she was out of our realm of the possibility of hiring. But that’s the fun part of casting, is seeing the people whose careers are just rising.”
Eric Dawson believed that Margot Robbie has a lot of “it” factor as she was just a rising star in 2011. The first part of the new season of American Horror Story: Delicate will be premiered on September 20, 2023, on FX.
