The American actor Mark Hamill started off his acting career with a television series named Headmaster during the 1970s. He rose to fame with one of the oldest yet prominent sci-fi franchises in the entertainment world- Star Wars. He was introduced to the family of Star Wars with the 1997 released Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

He played one of the roles of Luke Skywalker in the series. He was last seen alongside Adam Driver in the 2017 released Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi. He has also reprised his Star Wars character in The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian. Despite being associated with the billion dollars, the legendary actor had charged a whopping amount from the franchise only for a small duration of the scene in one of the chapters of Star Wars.

Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford were the lead characters of the Star Wars franchise. The actor duo were paid one and three million dollars and 20 million dollars respectively. He was last seen in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, as Rey’s mentor. According to the reports, it is assumed that the actor earned somewhat between five and ten million dollars.

Mark Hamill was only 25 years old when the first movie was released under the sci-fi franchise Star Wars. He was seen alongside Harrison Ford and the late actor Carrie Fisher. After the release of Return of the Jedi in 1983,  the actor found himself being stereotyped as a knight.

During an interview with CBS News, Mark Hamill spoke about the priceless advice given by his late co-actor Carrie Fisher, which has stayed with him for over the years. He recalled-

‘Get over yourself. Look, you’re Luke Skywalker. I’m Princess Leia. Just accept it,“‘
