Mark Wahlberg has done it all. From a famous teenager known for working with his brother Donnie in the globally successful band New Kids on the Block to one with legal troubles due to addiction to cocaine and other substances, he had a rough adolescence. Not to mention that he has a history of racially motivated attacks which would have doubtlessly gotten him canceled in the ongoing decade.

Thankfully, Mark Wahlberg learned from his mistakes- not without paying the price- and once again found fame as a member of the hip-hop group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch in the 1990s. The acting career followed and has been the one to stick around. Beyond the glitz and glam, he is a family man, and as it turns out, one of his sons can get him to do exactly what he wants.

Mark Wahlberg’s Son is Insistent about A Rather Silly Thing

Over the years, Mark Wahlberg has appeared in some of the best movies of all time. He might have won over the hearts of millions of people, but that does not make him his children’s favorite actor as his children, not unlike other children across the world, prefer YouTube and TikTok over their dad’s work.

Another thing that the actor’s children love is the Wahlberg family’s Pomeranian dog named Champeranian who has his own Instagram account! It is this dog that is quite a bit of trouble for Wahlberg even though he is often seen on his Instagram account with this same dog.

In an interview with The Guardian, Mark Wahlberg revealed how his son Brendan

“whose life mission is to get me to post as many things as I can about Champ, and get him as many followers as he can. He’s obsessed with it. It’s starting to become… a thing.”

Apparently, Wahlberg promoting Champeranian’s Instagram account by summoning his own 27 million followers is not something he does willingly. Sure, he loves the dog for bringing joy to his children’s lives. However, he would definitely not mind living without some of his antics.

Mark Wahlberg is known for leading roles in comedy, drama, and action genres with a predominant focus on the last one. However, he has proved his range as an actor numerous times so, it would obviously be interesting to see him in a rom-com, a genre that he wishes to explore.

Despite this, the Spenser Confidential star has a condition regarding his appearance in a rom-com. He said as much to The Guardian.

“I’d be into it! But nothing with singing and dancing in it. I’m not doing a musical. I’ve had to sing and dance more than I’ve wanted to… in films. And it’s my least favorite thing to do. I’ve gotten to the point where I’m not really self-conscious and I’m not scared to look vulnerable or risk looking ridiculous, but I don’t know… I feel ridiculous when I’m dancing and singing.”

So far, there has been no news of any such movie but hopefully, there will be one in the future so that fans get the chance to see their idol in an ideal rom-com minus the singing and dancing.
