Marvel Deletes R-Rated Scene of a Major MCU Character From $805.9 Million Movie
It is a common occurrence for films to have many of their scenes deleted in the final product. And this year’s MCU film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 directed by James Gunn also seems to have had several scenes cut out some the final version that got released. Following the recent release of deleted scenes, Will Poulter who plays the antagonist named Adam Warlock had more than one scene that was removed.
One such scene included the actor spitting curse words and NSFW material in the presence of his mother. The studio seemingly tried to reduce Warlock’s unlikeable personality being the antagonist that he is.
Will Poulter’s Guardians of the Galaxy R-rated Scenes Got Deleted by Marvel Studio
Fans have already witnessed Will Poulter’s addition to the MCU with his role as the antagonist Adam Warlock in the James Gunn-directed Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3. However recently it came to light that the actor actually had more scenes that were unfortunately removed from the final cut. And seemingly there was one specific R-rated scene involving Poulter that could have made it into the film.

In this, the We’re the Millers star can be seen spouting bad almost evil words while his character Warlock is supposedly in an angry mood. The lines went something like,
“I’m goin’ to mush their brains between my fingers. I’m going to piss on their bodies and make love to their carcasses.”
Warlock somehow says this out in front of his mother who also seemingly finds her son’s words a bit harsh. Ultimately this scene did not make it into the final product.
And the reason for this could be that Gunn did not want the character to overwhelm the audience with his negativity. But this balance deprived the viewers of more of Poulter’s scenes as Warlock.
