Marvel Officially Erases Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch from 2023 MCU Cover – Is Brie Larson the Replacement?
Marvel’s updated cover for their book Marvels Studios The Marvel Cinematic Universe: An Official Timeline has left fans both confused and curious. As the book’s publication date inches closer the recent update of the cover, with Elizabeth Olsen missing on it has sparked speculations and intrigue among the fans.
Marvel erased Elizabeth Olsen from their upcoming books cover page
Marvel fans across the globe are piqued with curiosity after Marvel officially removed Elizabeth Olsen from their upcoming book Marvels Studios The Marvel Cinematic Universe: An Official Timeline cover.
The initial announcement of the book provided a comprehensive and definitive MCU timeline, which featured Elizabeth Olsen, The Scarlet Witch. However, it was made very clear by the studio that it wasn’t the final one.
Recently Penguin Random House released the final cover page of the book which shows no sign of Elizabeth Olsen which has left fans shocked. Although one of the main reasons why Olsen has been removed from the cover is attributed to her current inactive status within the MCU.
Ever since she died in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the infamous Scarlet Witch played by none other than Elizabeth Olsen has not returned to the Marvel stories. Even though there are no official updates on how she will be returning, fans wait eagerly to see the Scarlet Witch back on the silver screen.
Is Brie Larson the Replacement of Elizabeth Olsen?
Well to answer that No, Brie Larson is not the replacement of Elizabeth Olsen on the cover of Marvels Studios The Marvel Cinematic Universe: An Official Timeline. Brie Larson aka Captain Marvel has been on the cover page since the very beginning.
It is Tom Hiddleston’s Loki and Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie which has replaced Elizabeth Olsen on the book cover. Both these characters of Loki and Sylvie will be seen in the upcoming Loki series which will be aired on Disney+. Also, as this upcoming Loki Season 2 is set to release on October 6th the switch on the cover might be just another marketing tactic of the Marvel Studio. This new Loki Season 2 is said to have a deeper connection with the multiple timelines in the MCU all because of their ties to the TVA.
As most of the upcoming Marvel shows and movies are setting bases for the upcoming play of the Multiverse Saga which includes movies like Avengers: Secret Wars fans are all piqued to see the stories unfold. Although as for now one looking to catch on everything in the MCU before that time should stick up to the upcoming book.
Marvel Studios The Marvel Cinematic Universe: An Official Timeline is expected to be available on bookshelves and online on October 24.
