Reportedly updating their order on promotional materials from Disney in regards to the Ant-Man sequel, Marvel appears to be slowly cutting ties with Jonathan Majors. Despite being a big part of the Multiverse Saga, Majors’ fate seems to be dependent on his court proceedings. Thus considering the potential impact of the controversial lawsuit on a franchise like MCU, Marvel reportedly appears to be taking action during promotional campaigns.
Jonathan Majors’ Controversial Lawsuit
Probably enjoying his villain era way too much, Jonathan Majors got himself tangled in a controversial lawsuit. Charged with several assault allegations, harassment, and misdemeanor, following the alleged “domestic dispute” with his anonymous girlfriend, Majors was arrested by the New York City police.
The actor was arrested after the anonymous 30-year-old woman, who sustained minor injuries to her head and neck, called 911 from Majors’ apartment in the Chelsea neighborhood. Further, the district attorney’s office confirmed that Majors was charged with several counts of assault and aggravated harassment.
Following his court appearance with his criminal defense lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, several other women appeared at the DA’s office to report against the actor. With a surge in charges against Majors, his publicists and management firm dissociated from the embattled actor. However, on a recent note, Majors appears to be at a high risk of being dismissed even by MCU, based on the court’s judgment.
