Marvel Star Jonathan Majors Advised by Lawyers To Not Sue Girlfriend Despite ‘Fake’ Assault Charges Likely to Ruin His Career
Jonathan Majors, the Creed 3 star made headlines for some serious issues recently. He was arrested on the charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment by a 30- year old woman. The actor was arrested on March 25th from his Chelsea apartment in Manhattan. According to the New York Police, they responded to a 911 call that was made by his alleged girlfriend.
Jonathan Majors is one of the fastest-growing stars in Hollywood. The Devotion star and the woman got into an alleged altercation when she spotted him texting another woman. The victim sustained injuries on her neck and head and a laceration just behind her ear. She was immediately escorted to the hospital for a medical emergency. The actor hired Priya Chaudhry as his attorney, who is known for defending Jen Shah, the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, on her money laundering and telemarketing case.
Jonathan Majors Will Not Sue His Girlfriend
The attorney of Jonathan Majors went on to say that the 30-year-old female was not in a proper emotional state. This came to light after the cab footage was provided as a piece of evidence. Chaudhry even claimed that Jonathan Major’s alleged girlfriend has recanted the accusations and charges against him. The driver, other people present at the scene, and two written statements from the accuser are some important testimonials for the case.
The actor’s attorney Priya Chaudhry said,
“…the evidence proves that Mr. Majors is entirely innocent,” and, “the NYPD is required to make an arrest in these situations, and this is the only reason Mr. Majors was arrested.”
According to Frank Salzano, the managing partner of Salzano Ettinger Lampert & Wilson law firm,
“If Majors was my client, I would advise him to seek a public retraction by the accuser and then move on and not file a defamation claim. Majors is rising star in Hollywood.”
The team of representatives of the Marvel star is working hard to get the charges dropped against him, as soon as possible.
The MCU Actor’s Future Projects Under Scanner
Jonathan Majors is one of those faces in Hollywood that rose to fame within a short duration. He was recently seen portraying the role of Kang in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. With one after the other blockbuster projects of the Lovecraft Country actor, he is bound to make a big name in the world of movies. According to news from the MCU, Kang would also be seen in the upcoming season of Loki. And Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is supposed to hit theatres in 2025.
With the recent assault accusations by his alleged girlfriend, all the projects in his name are under scrutiny. It is reported that the Be All You Can Be campaign narrated by him for the US Army has been taken down. A few Marvel projects have also been halted until the investigations are concluded.
