The 27-year-old entered Marvel in the 2016 film Captain America: Civil War. He established himself in the business by playing Spider-Man in solo films from the franchise. His latest film Spider-Man: No Way Home, was a hit at the box office. Holland even starred in the Apple TV+ miniseries The Crowded Room. He confessed how the role was challenging for him and announced taking a break from the industry. The Devil All the Time actor, recently admitted he does not like the Hollywood Industry.

Playing Spider-Man in the MCU made Tom Holland a household name. He became well-known among fans thanks to his on- and off-screen romance with Zendaya. Over the years, the British actor has been in several popular films. The miniseries The Crowded Room for Apple TV+ is his most recent addition. 

 After starring in the Apple TV+ series, the 27-year-old has been vocal about his struggles in the entertainment industry. He recently appeared on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast. The Marvel star got candid about his being scared of the entertainment industry. He even revealed that he does not like Hollywood.

Holland said, “Look, I really am a massive fan of making movies but I really do not like Hollywood, it is not for me.”

He added,

“The business really scares me. I understand that I’m a part of that business and I enjoy my kind of interactions with it, but that said, I am always looking for ways to kind of remove myself from it to kind of just live as normal a life as possible.”

The Cherry actor confessed he has seen people lose themselves in the business. He said the podcast was a safe space for him to open up and reveal how his friends have been involved in the Hollywood industry and have lost contact with each other. Holland said,

“I’ve seen so many people come before me and lose themselves, and I’ve had friends that I’ve grown up with that aren’t friends of mine anymore, because they’ve lost themselves to this business.”

The 27-year-old said he is focusing on the things that make him happy. In June, Tom Holland announced he would be taking a break from Hollywood.
