Matt Damon Hints He Can Still Play Jason Bourne After Showing Off His Godly Physique at 52
Actor Matt Damon was recently seen vacationing with the Hemsworths and his wife Luciana Barroso in Mykonos, Greece. The group was seen dancing, smoking cigars, and taking pictures with their loved ones while appearing to be in great spirits.
Fans questioned whether Damon could still play his well-known character Jason Bourne on-screen after the actor was seen at one point lounging in the sun and flashing his godly physique.

Actor Matt Damon, who played the character of Jason Bourne- a spy gone rogue in the movie Jason Bourne, received appreciation from the audience for it. Recently there was some chatter about the creators of the series thinking about a sixth installment of the franchise, or even rebooting the spy-thriller. The movie series is based on Robert Ludlum’s 1980 novel of the same name, written by Tony Gilroy and William Blake Herron, and directed and co-produced by Doug Liman.
Although the reports also mentioned that the creators would like to go with a new creative team, fans noted that Damon still has the charm to play the character at the age of 52. Frank Marshall, the producer of the movie, shared with a publication,
“I’m hoping that we can find a new story for Bourne and a new filmmaker.”
Nothing has been made official as of now, but when conversations were happening around the franchise getting rebooted, fans seemed excited about it and maybe Damon’s physique does get along with the type of character appearance he could play. Even though it was reported at some point that the actor would not like to reprise his character on-screen, one cannot say it with assurance.

The group consisting of Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso, Chris Hemsworth with his wife Elsa Pataky, and Liam Hemsworth and his girlfriend Gabriella Brooks were spotted having the summer of their life on the Greek Island of Mykonos.
Back in 2018, Pataky shared with People magazine that the two families met through mutual friends and love taking vacations together. She added,
“Chris has been a big fan of Matt Damon, me too, and then when I met his wife I’m even more of a fan of his wife. They are such amazing people. We have three kids, they have four kids, so we ended up making the same plans because everything we do with our kids, so it’s easier to do things with people that understand you.”
Hemsworth’s wife also shared more about how she became friends with Damon’s wife, Barroso, and explained a tradition that they all follow. Pataky noted,
“The [Damons] came here for Christmas, and we were all together, and it was a inspirational time. We created a lot of things and a lot of ideas. A few friends, we got together, and we felt like we had to have something to remind us of those great moments we stayed together, and we decided to get a little tattoo [of three dots on their pinkies] altogether, and we said ‘We’ll have to do one every year.’ “
Chris Hemsworth also opened up about his friendship with Damon back in 2020 during an interview with GQ as he explained that they became friends when he had started to work and noted that he benefited from witnessing how Damon handles himself.
Matt Damon on not being interested in playing a superhero
The actor who recently appeared in Air alongside best friend and collaborator Ben Affleck, is gearing up for his next release, Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, starring Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., and Florence Pugh.
Ahead of the release of his now successful movie Air, in which he portrayed the character of Sonny Vaccaro, he shared that movies like Air are the ones that made him want to become an actor and it’s the kind of movie that no one’s making any more, which is why it was essential for him and Affleck to make something like it.
At one point in the conversation, Damon said that he sometimes fears what he would do with his life if they stop making movies like Air because he cannot do Superhero movies, adding that he cannot just do them one after the other. He added that he likes to be a part of projects that are about writing and acting.
