It has been almost confirmed that Matt Reeves is working on a Batman trilogy. This trilogy will end with the introduction of Batman Beyond, which will then result in the new phase of the DC cinematic universe.
However, considering Affleck’s age, it was however speculated that the actor may not be able to be cast in Reeves trilogy.
The movies will be releasing a couple of years after the others, and Ben Affleck was almost considered out of the project.
However, recently a close source from WB, confirmed that the speculations are wrong, and Affleck is being considered as Batman.
“Yeah, he [Affleck] is staying on as the Batman. There were contract issues, but everything’s sorted now.
He’ll do Reeves’ trilogy which sets up Batman Beyond, which will be the next phase of the DC film universe.”
However, this is a big big news and it should not be considered too until and unless it comes from an official source. That is directly from Matt Reeves.
We have encountered a lot of such rumors and we will not keep our hopes by listening to this one.
However, we are excited that we will be getting our Terry Ginnis, aka Batman Beyond on the big screen.
