According to TMZ, the final result of the autopsy is waiting for the toxicology report and further scrutiny, which might take several weeks to complete.
The TMZ reports also suggest that the law enforcement agency has recovered the perception of drugs from Perry’s home after his death and emphasized that no illegal drugs were found at the scene. While the enforcement found “anti-depressants, anti-anxiety drugs, and a COPD drug in the house’.
COPD stands for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and is typically used by people who have emphysema or chronic bronchitis. Authorities confirmed that the presence of drugs in Perry’s system will be later determined after the investigation.

No sign of foul play was detected in Matthew Perry’s death
Law enforcement sources, as per the publication, stated that no evidence of foul play or “no illicit narcotics” was detected in Perry’s death. Before the incident, Perry had a bunch of pickleball sessions in the morning, before returning home and after sending his assistant on an errand. A few hours later, the assistant found him unresponsive and called 911.
Perry has suffered from a drinking addiction and has the strength to overcome it. Page Six reports that while filming Friends, his alcohol addiction was noticed by his co-stars. Jennifer Aniston even reportedly confronted him about his issues.
Additionally, Perry was also known to be a smoker. It was reported that he used to take up to 55 pills a day, leading him to enter rehab for the first time. The actor passed away at his residence, and his body is set to be released to his family for cremation.
