Anthony Hopkins Distanced Himself From Acting To Focus On His New Project
Anthony Hopkin’s rich filmography is what actors can only dream of achieving in their lives. The two-time Academy Award-winning actor has great news for his fans across the globe. During an exclusive interview with the reputed media outlet People, the Rebel Moon actor revealed that he is busy writing his biography. Anthony Hopkins went on to describe writing as a weird process. He said-
“I realized how I’m blessed with one thing. Maybe it’s my actor’s brain. I do have quite a memory. I remember the days of months in the years,”
Anthony Hopkins further mentioned his wife Stella, who is working on a documentary with him. While talking about how far the documentary has been completed, he said-
“I don’t know. I don’t ask her. It’s quite a lot of film. I don’t know when it’s going to come out,”
Anthony Hopkins and his wife Stella have been married for twenty years.
Anthony Hopkins Talks About The Silence Of The Lambs And Co-star Jodie Foster
Anthony Hopkins’ portrayal of Hannibal Lecter is one of the finest performances by the actor. During an interview with People, the actor confessed that he had zero ideas about the plot of The Silence Of The Lambs, instead from the name of the project he thought that it was a children’s movie. The actor mentioned he was busy doing a play in London. He recalled-
‘I want you to read this.’ I said, ‘Is it an offer?’ It’s a film with Jodie Foster called The Silence of the Lambs. I thought it was a children’s story. So I opened it. I sat in the dressing room in the theater, and I read through the first scene of Lecter. I said, ‘Is this an offer?’ He said, ‘I’m not sure.’ I said, ‘I’m not going to read anymore because this is one of the best parts I’ve ever read.’”
The King Lear actor was all praise for Jodie Foster. Anthony Hopkins collaborated with the True Detective actor for The Silence Of The Lambs in 1991. He said-
“She’s lovely. What’s wonderful about Jodie is that great actor that she is, she has no entourage. She just comes on the set and does it. Very laid back. Very cool. What I like about her, is she’s very practical.”
