MCU Can Set Up Two Different Avenger Teams, Here’s How
The bedrock for two major MCU projects: The Avengers 5 and Young Avengers can be set up by the team Kamala Khan, Monica Rambeau and Carol Danvers in The Marvels. A broad variety of different concepts and characters are being introduced in the Phase 4 of the MCU. Works like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Loki are set around alternate timelines and dimensions, while works like Hawkeye and Black Widow showcase most of the grounded parts in the MCU. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Thor: Love and Thunder, will be only the beginning of the exploration of the cosmic side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe — Captain Marvel sequel probably being the first official step towards the next Avengers installment.
The Marvels will bring together Monica Rambeau aka Spectrum, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, and Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, the trio of the most dangerously powerful Marvel heroes. Carol and Monica met at the time when former was still a child, but they became apart from each other after Carol left Earth and never again communicated with Maria, Monica’s mother. After getting powers of her own control during WandaVision, Monica now might stand before Captain Marvel as Spectrum. Kamala Khan on the other hand, is all ready to debut in her own Disney+ series, Ms. Marvel, where she will most likely try to become much as Captain Marvel, her idol.
The Trio Comes Together
After defeating their mutual enemy, the three lead Marvels will have the option of staying with each other as an MCU team, like what was slightly referenced in WandaVision. While staying together is an ideal option, a better likely choice is for Monica or Carol to lead the Avengers while Kamala sets to join the Champions or the Young Avengers. The trio will learn how to work together as a team in The Marvels (Carol is the only among them who fought briefly alongside the Avengers during Avengers: Endgame). There may still be some tension that exists between Carol and Monica, so it may happen that they don’t work together in the Avengers, but one of them could choose to go to her own team — perhaps the Mighty Avengers or the all-female Avengers, the A-Force and the other might be the leader of the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
Future Of The Avengers
Most of the members of the Young Avengers will be introduced, then The Marvels will release. Since Kang the Conqueror and Cassie Lang will feature in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania — whose is actually the Young Avenger Iron Lad in the comics — the only prime miss is Hulkling. Fortunately, Hulkling is a hybrid of Skrull/Kree, and it improves his chances to be seen in the sequel of Captain Marvel. His introduction in It may happen that in The Marvels he might join forces with Ms. Marvel and ponders upon the idea to make their own team.
It seems that in Phase 4, The MCU is introducing many superhero teams and The Marvels can prove to be a very important step towards their debut. Besides, the next main villain, a danger that will threaten the MCU and pull all heroes to gather one more time in The Avengers 5, which features Sam Wilson’s, Captain America. Probably, a cosmic being like Galactus, Magus, Annihilus or Korvac could sum up to the task.
