Former professional golfer Paige Spiranac recently talked about her divorce from athletic trainer Steven Tinoco. Paige Spiranac gained popularity after she was crowned as the “Sexiest Woman Alive” by Maxim magazine in June. The golfer gives her fans an insight into her life on her podcast, Playing a Round with Paige Renee.
In one of the episodes of her podcast, the golfer talked about her failed marriage with Steven Tinoco and how it affected her mental health. The two were together for 4 years but decided to end their marriage earlier this year. In March 2022, the golfer officially announced that she is no longer married.
Paige Spiranac was married to Steven Tinoco
Paige Spiranac got married to athletic trainer Steven Tinoco in 2018. She revealed that Steven Tinoco was very supportive of her modeling and golfing career but the marriage just couldn’t work. In July 2022, during a Q&A session on her Instagram, she was asked if she is married and she replied, “I was married. I am no longer married.” She officially separated from Steven Tinoco in March 2022.
The golfer said she will not get married again
On her podcast, the golfer explained that the marriage was so traumatic that she won’t get married again,
“I wasn’t married for very long, and I think that when I initially got divorced, I said I will never get married ever again.”
However, later in the episode, she revealed that she learned from her mistakes and would like to get married again,
“I’m recently divorced, and yeah, just kind of getting a fresh start, and I’m excited about it. I believe in love, and I don’t want to have one not great experience ruin a great experience moving forward. So, I’d be much smarter about it this time and not rush the process, but really enjoy everything there is to like planning the wedding.”
She says she hopes not to take decisions hastily this time.
She also explained why she kept her relationship a secret
The former professional golfer explained why she kept her relationship a secret on her podcast,
“Having a public relationship is very difficult, and as soon as you make it public, you’re giving everyone the right to ask questions and you have to then answer them. If I do post about it, and I end up breaking up with that person, I then have to talk about the break-up cause I owe that to everyone because I made my relationship public.”
The golfer was crowned as the “Sexiest Woman Alive” by Maxim magazine in June but she was later trolled on social media as people sent her demeaning messages. She also revealed that she had to go to therapy because of the hateful messages she received.
