Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been quite a couple. The two first started seeing each other in 2016, and have gone on to share a really close bond over the years. They must have, otherwise, Prince Harry wouldn’t have parted ways with his family in 2020 for the sake of his wife of two years. Despite all the statements made against her and accusations that come her way, he has always been there by her side, like any faithful partner. But if his friends are to be trusted, everything about the Duchess of Sussex is not worth loving.
Prince Harry’s friends apprehensive of Meghan Markle
Prince Harry‘s close friends have made the shocking admission that Meghan Markle is not as nice as the Duke of Sussex thinks she is. His own pals have made some rather scathing remarks about his lady wife. As per a royal expert’s claims, his inner circle has certain reservations about the 41-year-old.
Robert Lacey, who writes for The Daily Mail, revealed that his friends think that Meghan Markle can be a ‘500% nightmare’. The admission comes just after the Netflix docuseries dealing with the couple’s life came out. But their distaste for the Dater’s Handbook actor doesn’t end there.
Meghan Markle’s self-promotion and self-pity infuriate Prince William
Apparently, his friends empathize with Prince William, understanding why he is ‘frustrated’ with the Suits alum. Lacey wrote:
“Sussex supporters have noted the bizarre combination of self-promotion and self-pity that characterises Meghan, and can see why it has infuriated William.”
The piece further read, “’Meghan can be a 500% nightmare,’ some close friends of Harry are among the first to admit. ‘The never-ending PR. She’s just so . . . American!’”
Seems like all the campaigns taken by her ’empathizers’ on social media have had the opposing impact. No wonder her approval rating in the United Kingdom is on the decline.
Friends hopeful that peace can be made between Prince Harry and Prince William
That is not all which Lacey has to say. According to him, the mutual friends of Prince Harry and Prince William are hopeful that the two might possibly talk their problems out and reconcile. He said, “The brothers’ friends made up a particularly tightly knit network until the moment of Meghan’s arrival – and when the fraternal split followed, for all its depth and bitterness, the circle of friends did not, in fact, take rival sides.”
He also said, “All the mutual friends I have encountered find themselves seeing both points of view – William’s defensiveness of the monarchy as he sees it, and Harry’s defensiveness of his wife. Love versus duty. This is what makes it so painful.”
It remains to be seen whether peace can be brokered between the two brothers after the drop of the Netflix documentary.
