Suits, the iconic legal drama, was originally aired on USA Network from 2011 to 2019 revolves around a brilliant and charismatic lawyer, Harvey Specter, and a college dropout, Michael Ross. Created by Aaron Korsh, the show gained immense popularity due to its witty dialogue, complex characters, and gripping storyline, which have now set a new record for 3.14 billion minutes of watch time, according to Nielsen.
Netflix’s Suits makes a record of 3 billion minutes
The former USA series Suits, which ended in 2019, arrived on Netflix on June 23, this year has set a new record by averaging a whopping 3 billion minutes of screen time over seven weeks in July, according to Nielsen’s streaming ratings. The series easily surpassed the 2.29 billion record of the series Manifest in July, similarly keeping the constant mark of 3 million even in August.
Though Stranger Things season 4 still holds the record of 35.5 billion minutes, making it the highest in 2022, Suits became the first title to maintain over 3 billion minutes of viewing for an extended period. With Meghan Markle’s involvement in the series, it gained even more attention and broke a rare TV record, surpassing the viewership of even critically acclaimed shows like Breaking Bad.

The Suits follows the story of a top-notch lawyer, Harvey Specter, and Michael Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams, a college dropout with a photogenic memory who became a lawyer without even a law degree. The show is primarily set in the landscape of New York’s corporate law firm.

Followed by Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building (720 million minutes/22 available episodes), Netflix’s Sweet Magnolias with 530 million minutes/30 episodes, and Amazon Prime’s The Summer and Turned Pretty with 14 episodes crossed 460 million minutes are some of the popular choices among viewers.
Suits initially crossed 1 during the July 10–16 window, by which time it had become the second-most-watched series. The popular show is consistently maintaining the top 4 most-watched shows on Netflix.
