During an interview with the media outlet The New York Times in 2008, Megyn Kelly spoke about her husband Douglas Brunt, and how a blind date turned into an event to remember for a lifetime. According to the celebrated media personality, she met her husband at a local bar in Washington D.C. back in 2006. Kelly recalled-
“He came across as sincere. While we were talking, he leaned forward, really listening to what I was saying. He’s also clever and has a great sense of humor,”
As reported by Kelly, she was bowled over by his looks and dressing sense. While talking about her husband on The Megyn Kelly Show, she confessed that Brunt was totally different from the kind of men she had dated in the past, she said-
“He was different from what I thought I wanted. More reserved, less cocky. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. He was kind, he was smart, he was strong but not in a domineering way and in no way intimidated by me or my strength,”
The couple tied the knot in March 2008 at the Oheka Castle in Huntington, New York. They are proud parents to their three kids. Megan Kelly was previously married to Daniel Kendall, an anesthesiologist from 2001 to 2006.

Despite being Megyn Kelly’s husband, Douglas Brunt is a multi-talented personality. He is a reputed novelist and former president and CEO of the cybersecurity firm Authentium. The Philadelphia-born writer even started his own podcast show named Dedicated With Doug Brunt. His love for reading helped him come up with the idea of the podcast. He has spoken to famous authors like Jennifer Egan, Lee Child, and Anna Quindlen. Brunt began writing during his time as CEO at Authentium.
While talking about his podcast at The Megyn Kelly Show, Brunt said-
“The main moment was finishing The Gold Coast by Nelson DeMille and putting that down and thinking, ‘What I wouldn’t give to sit down in a bar with this guy who I don’t know but just to get to know him. So that’s really what the show is — these great writers come in … and we have a drink. They choose their favorite drink, which we make on the set, and we get to know the person, which is an experience that you really can’t find anywhere else.”
Douglas Brunt has published four books out of which Ghosts Of Manhattan went on to become a New York Times best seller. His works include his first non-fiction book The Mysterious Case Of Rudolf Diesel, Trophy Son: A Novel, and The Means.
