One of the most popular and successful entertainers of all time was Michael Jackson. He became a legend for millions of admirers all around the world thanks to his singing, dancing, and persona. However, Jackson’s private life was frequently surrounded by skepticism. His extravagant lifestyle and peculiar behavior frequently made headlines, and he was accused of child s*xual abuse on numerous occasions.

After a well-publicized trial, Jackson was found not guilty of the counts of child molestation in 2005. 13 years after Michael Jackson’s passing, an alleged victim brought him back into court again.

The ongoing legal battle

Wade Robson sued the Jackson estate in civil court in 2013, but the matter was dropped in 2017. But in the year 2023, Wade Robson’s ability to file a lawsuit against the late pop legend Michael Jackson‘s estate has been given new life by the recent extension of the statute of limitations for victims who were minors. Robson, a well-known dancer, has returned to the witness stand and claims that Jackson repeatedly s*xually abused him as a child. Robson claims that Jackson’s friendliness and leadership were entwined with the alleged abuse.

In an interview with The Guardian, Robson said, “He made me feel complicit, that I wanted it at least as much as him.” The assault didn’t feel unusual to Robson at that time because it was being committed by this man who, to him, was a God. For him, a lot of it served as validation. “But what does that mean, that I liked it? Like, I’m a freak too” he added.
