Morgan Freeman’s Image Took a Nasty Hit After Assistant Alleged Freeman “Kept trying to lift up” her Skirt and Asked if She Was Wearing Her Underwear

One of the greats in the film industry is Morgan Freeman. He has acted in some of the most recognizable movies of all time over the course of a more than 50-year career, including The Shawshank Redemption and Million Dollar Baby. He is renowned for having a rich, deep voice that can make even the most complex characters come to life.

The honors and awards given to Freeman are evidence of his talent. He has been honored with an AFI Life Achievement Award, a Cecil B. DeMille Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and an Academy Award.

But since eight women came forward in 2018 with allegations of harassment by Freeman, the actor’s reputation has been tarnished and he has been accused of being a s*xual predator. Among them was a production assistant who worked with Freeman on a film.

What charges were made against Morgan Freeman?

When a total of eight women accused renowned actor Morgan Freeman of s*xual harassment in 2018, his reputation was severely damaged. A production assistant who had worked with Freeman on the 2017 movie Going In Style with co-stars Michael Caine, Alan Arkin, and others, was one of the accusers.

According to the production assistant, Freeman repeatedly “Kept trying to lift up” her skirt and allegedly asked her whether she was wearing any underwear or not. Fortunately, his co-star Alan Arkin stepped in and told him to stop, which caused Freeman to appear surprised. This incident, along with a number of other disturbing allegations, destroyed Freeman’s reputation.

The woman reportedly also stated that Freeman frequently placed his hand on her lower back, occasionally stroking it, and made remarks about her appearance and attire. She added that Freeman warned her not to cover her back with a T-shirt when she was wearing a dress.

Additional allegations of s*xual harassment against Morgan Freeman

More women have come forward, bringing new unsettling incidents involving Morgan Freeman to light in addition to the earlier accusation of s*xual harassment against the actor. During the filming of Now You See Me (2013), a senior member of the production team claimed that Freeman made crude comments about the bodies of her and another assistant. They were careful not to dress provocatively, and according to eyewitnesses, Freeman ordered some women to spin around for him to give him a good look at them.

Another woman, who collaborated with Freeman on another movie, remembered a strange thing that happened at the wrap party. She claimed that Freeman was staring at her b*easts and that after she pointed out that he should be looking at her eyes, he rubbed himself against her for the group photograph.

One woman claimed that when she first met Freeman on the set of Through the Wormhole, he gave her a sidelong glance before asking her, in front of several males, how she felt about s*xual harassment. She had sarcastically remarked that she loved it in order to make light of the situation. He then informed the males that this was how it was done, which shocked her.

These upsetting instances happened in a variety of places, including movie sets, and occasionally even as the cameras were rolling. Staff members were requested to form a circle at a birthday celebration for Freeman, who had turned 79 at that time. He allegedly approached each woman in the circle, scrutinized her, and invaded her personal space before moving on.

Other accusations against Freeman have also been made. All of these taken together don’t do much good to his reputation.
