Movie Trailer For Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas Released
After a cancellation by NBC earlier, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist now has one more chance to redeem itself. The musical series which became a fan-favorite was canceled after its sophomore season, but the fans and its creator made sure that the story keeps going while Roku came in to help. All of this has resulted in a holiday special movie known as Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas which will continue the story from where the fourth season finale left us.
The movie is already done with its filming and is set to premiere on the Roku Channel next month. While the premiere is still two weeks away, fans didn’t have to wait too long to get their eyes on the first footage of the film. The trailer for Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas came out yesterday.

Zoey’s Extraordinary Christmas will be resolving a few questions and leftover cliffhangers from the second season of Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist. If we believe the reports, the movie will place a bow on the story of Zoey, however, the creator of the series Austin Winsberg doesn’t seem to be out of ideas yet. If there is a chance, the door for yet another outing is kept open by Winsberg.
Austin Winsberg spoke to Entertainment Weekly On The Film
“It’s an excellent open question. Roku has been really amazing, supportive partners and really just wanting to lean into all things Zoey. The challenge of the movie was to feel like people could come in without having seen the show before and to feel like we’re telling a whole story as a movie, not just extended episodes of the show. So it’s a story that has some version of a beginning, middle, and end. But I also feel like we keep it open enough that, should the demand be out there, I could definitely see the story continuing, either more episodes or more movies.”
He continued, “I have lots more Zoey movie ideas in my head. Now that I’ve kind of come around to the Zoey movie idea and the structure of these movies, I have more movie ideas in my head already. If there’s a demand out there? And the cast really loved making the movie too. There was something about coming in to do this one particular thing and to really just focus on that that I think everyone really responded to. Everybody had a good time.”
