“My Aunt Shelli called and yelled at me”: Kim Kardashian’s Aunt Shames Her Into Censoring Her N*pples In Hot Photos
It is well known that Kim Kardashian is no stranger to freeing her n*pples. She eventually becomes the target of online criticism as a result of this. Well, she generally does not bother with this criticism, until it comes from close members of her family.
Even though she has her share of detractors, her mother, Kris Jenner usually keeps quiet about the subject. However, that doesn’t mean Jenner’s friends would do the same as well.
Back in 2017, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star exposed her n*pples while donning a see-through top without a bra underneath. When a family friend, ‘Aunt Shelli’ noticed a photo of the social media mogul wearing a hot top without a bra underneath, she hadn’t taken kindly to Kardashian’s different fashion choices.
After that, Kim K was forced to post a doctored image of herself in a mesh tank top after her aunt pointed out her n*pple featuring pictures re-surfacing online.
Kim Kardashian’s Had To Blur Her N*pples In An Instagram Photo
Kim Kardashian, as we all know, doesn’t mind wearing extra revealing clothes. The reality star shared a photo of herself from New York Fashion Week in 2017, in which she was sporting a black mesh shirt with a deep V. It, indeed, was somewhat transparent. Later, she shared a modified version of the image along with the statement,
“My Aunt Shelli called and yelled at me when she saw this pic. So @shellibird1 I blurred it for you!”
As anyone who follows the Kardashians will know, ‘Aunt Shelli’ (Shelli Azoff) is one of Kris Jenner’s closest friends. Shelli Azoff often attends significant life events, such as Jenner’s video for her 60th birthday and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s marriage.
And it appears that Aunt Shelli keeps an eye on everything that a 42-year-old mother does.
Kim K feels comfortable displaying her n*pples whenever and however she pleases because she doesn’t believe that they are scandalous. Hence, she has often made the decision to do so. However, she even stated that she has only one message for those who criticize her for her body and choices of clothes:
“I post it because I feel like posting it and I feel powerful. Sorry, Aunt Shelli.”

Some of her critics, undoubtedly, played the mom-shaming card. Some criticized the businesswoman for initially choosing to expose her body, others applauded the star’s decision to blur out her n*pples. One fan wrote, “No reason you should have your nipples out in public.” Another commented, ‘Thank God for those old school ladies with morals and values. Have some decency and class.”
Others objected to her decision to censor her body parts as one user said,
“PSA – it’s 2017!!! If showing your n*pples is still frowned upon, we as people need to regroup. They are n*pples – literally, EVERYONE has them! Showing n*pples hurts NO ONE!!’
Moreover, Kim Kardashian shared her opinion about her love of n*dity to Harper’s Bazaar:
“I post n*de photos because I like how I look and I feel proud when I’ve lost all this baby weight and I post it because I feel like posting it.”
This Instagram post sparked the same outrage as her n*de photo shoot for the ‘Mert and Marcus’ art book in September 2017.
Thus, the same type of criticism was leveled at Kardashian when she shared the project’s image, which showed her climbing a tree n*ked. Commenters said she was anti-feminist and a “bad role model” as a mother. Her n*pples were censored in that image as well.
