New Image from Deadpool & Wolverine Featuring a Not-So-Sneaky Nod to Another MCU Hero is Raising Cameo Hopes
Deadpool & Wolverine is almost here and fans are finding it hard to keep their cool. The wait for the third Deadpool movie has been a little too long, to say the least. On the brighter side, this delay may or may not have played a role in reviving Hugh Jackman’s beloved superhero Wolverine, and landing him in the same place as the Merc with a Mouth.
Over the past two years, one thing or the other about the status of the movie’s development, the plot, or a leaked picture from the set has kept fans on their toes. Another recent picture from the movie is giving fans hope about a much-anticipated cameo.
New Image from Deadpool & Wolverine Has Given Fans Hope
Deadpool & Wolverine, directed by Shawn Levy, is one of the most highly anticipated superhero movies. It is going to be released as a part of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and could change the trajectory of the franchise. Seeing as the MCU has not been doing too well lately, this movie could give it the break it needs.
The second trailer of the movie was released last month and fans have been beyond ecstatic with what awaits them in the final product. Quite a few cameos have been directly or indirectly teased in the trailer. A fan has seemingly connected the dots about one of those and has posted a picture of a van on their X account.
Wolverine is about to be so tired of Deadpool they’re gonna have the funniest dyn- IS THAT THE MOON KNIGHT CUPCAKE VAN pic.twitter.com/rE4cNPeXaa
— Jack (-_•) (@captaincupkicks) May 2, 2024
The fan pointed out that what might have seemed to have been an ordinary van at first look could be the Subwagen Lieferung cupcake delivery van that Moon Knight/Steven Grant had stolen in the first episode of the Disney+ series. Grant whizzed through the Austrian Alps in the van at a high speed in the episode.
Moon Knight has not made an appearance ever since the series ended, so a cameo in this movie could prove to be beneficial for the superhero character as it would rekindle fan interests.
Fans Are Hopeful about Moon Knight’s Cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine
Moon Knight was released in 2022 with Oscar Isaac playing the role of Marc Spector, the mercenary with Dissociative Identity Disorder, in the series. This subtle nod at a cameo in the movie has fans all excited.
Here is what some of them have said on X:

Based on the trailer, other cameos in the movie that are likely to be in the movie are Ant-Man, or whatever is left of him for that matter, Alioth, and an undetermined master of the mystic arts (there is no confirmation if it is Doctor Strange, Wong, or some other disciple of the Kamar-Taj). The movie is going to be a carnival of cameos, to say the least.
Deadpool & Wolverine is going to hit the theatres on July 26, 2024.
