New Jumanji: Video Game Announced By Namco
It was announced on Tuesday by Namco that a new Jumanji video game will released sometime later this year. As it suggests, the Jumanji game will be based on the movie franchise featuring the characters present in the reboot of the film. This means that players will get to portray either Ruby Roundhouse, Dr Smolder Bravestone, Franklin Finbar or Shelly Oberon. Each character will be modeled after their appearance in the film. Jumanji: The Video Game will be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC on 15th November.
Jumanji: The Video Game To Release In November
Created by Funsolve, Bandai Namco and Outright Games, which is best known for adapting movies and TV series into games like the Adventure Time: Pirates of Enchiridion. You can play it with three friends with each taking control of one of the four characters, as per the announcement made by Namco. Jumanji will be running on the Unreal Engine 4 and the released teaser gives us an idea of what it might look like.
A website has been set up for the Jumanji game which gives us more information on the whole gameplay and what players will do as they take control over these heroes.

Official Synopsis
“Only you and three teammates can recover the Jewels and save Jumanji,” Outright Games’ site for Jumanji: The Video Game says. “So get online, gather friends for split-screen play, or go alone with AI companions. There’s an army of evil marauders to take on, deadly beasts and traps to dodge, and cool customizations to unlock. And with heroes Dr. Bravestone, Ruby, Mouse, and Prof. Oberon as your avatars, you know you’ve got the unique abilities – and hilarious failings – to save the day!”
Features listed include split screen and online modes, locations and new environments in the Jumanji world where components like weapon styles and outfits will add to the replayability of the Jumanji video game.
We’ve only had glimpses of what the game would look like but going by the teaser and trailer, it’s giving away Strange Brigade vibes. Strange Brigade was released by Rebellioj Developments in 2018 which allows four players at once to play and compete against supernatural threats by using special weapons and abilities.
