In these categories, Zack Snyder directed films Army of the Dead, and Zack Snyder’s Justice League came out on top as the winner of fan-voted categories. This unofficial award category, Oscars Cheer Moment, and Oscars Fan Favourite were announced as part of a partnership between the Academy and Twitter.

The reports say that Twitter bots helped in gaining votes for Zack Snyder’s work. Fans were given an option to use Twitter and vote for their own “Best Picture” in the form of Oscars Fan Favourite.

Whereas Zack Snider’s zombie heist film Army of the Dead won the award in the Oscars Fan Favorite category. Recently, two reports from the hashtag analytics tracking tool revealed that “the most active contributors to both polls were autonomous web programs,” which “cast thousands of fake votes” for Snyder Cut Justice League and Army of the Dead movie.

As the news broke, fans are supporting Zack Snyder, where a supporter termed it “Fake news”. According to a study at the University of Maryland, the Snyder fan accounts who voted for the director’s films “certainly do not look like they were generated by a human user.” During the voting period, there was a significant increase over previous weeks, during which the daily number of votes cast ranged from around 4,000 to 15,000.
