Warner Bros. has finally released an all-new trailer for The Batman by Matt Reeves.

The trailer, that is titled “The Bat and The Cat,” goes on to explore the relationship between Catwoman and Batwoman, which are the alter-egos of Selina Kyle and Bruce Wayne. Together, they try to take down down The Riddler, however, this also involves a lot of tension — romantic and also, not-so-romantic — along with the path. The video also confirms another shocking revelation – Riddler knows Batman’s secret identity.

Matt Reeves’ The Batman takes place during Bruce Wayne’s second year as the Caped Crusader, existing outside of the main DCEU. While the movie also includes villains such as The Penguin, The Riddler, and Carmine Falcone, many fans also believe that The Joker might also make a surprise cameo, played by Barry Keoghan (Eternals). Irrespective of which members of Batman’s rogue’s gallery appear in the movie, Batman star Robert Pattinson already has his plans set on where he would like the franchise to head next.

Here’s what Robert Pattinson had to say:

“I’ve made a kind of map for where Bruce’s psychology would grow over two more movies,” Pattinson recently explained while discussing potential sequels. “I would love to do it.”

The other half of the Bat/Cat duo, of course, is Zoë Kravitz’s Selina Kyle. “I’ve read some of the comics now, but I wasn’t a comic head or anything,” the actor said in October. “I also tried to think about [the role] not as Catwoman, but as a woman, how does this make me feel? How are we approaching this and how are we making sure we’re not fetishizing or creating a stereotype? I knew it needed to be a real person.”

While The Batman is not set within the DCEU, there’s absolutely no shortage of Dark Knights on the horizon. November 2022 will also see the release of The Flash, which will feature not one but two Batmen, ie. Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck. The film has high expectations to explore the DC Multiverse, meaning that any Batman — DCEU or otherwise — can be considered canon one way or another.

The Batman arrives in theaters on March 4, 2022.
