Nicolas Cage’s Former Daughter-in-Law Hila Cage Coppola Desperate for Child Support, Demands $4,634 a Month
Famous actor Nicolas Cage’s former daughter-in-law Hila Cage makes a heartbreaking declaration in court documents, pleading for support from the actor’s son Weston Cage as she allegedly struggles to keep a roof over herself and their children’s heads and alleges that she owes back rent for the place where she lives with her 2-year-old twins, Venice, and Cyress.

Hila Cage Coppola, the ex-daughter-in-law of Nicolas Cage, resides with her two-year-old twins, Venice and Cyress. Hila has requested $4,634 in child support per month. The unemployed single mother claims she cannot afford the legal fees associated with suing Weston Cage Coppola, Cage’s affluent son.
“The funds he is spending on litigation to fight against providing support for his family are either from his father, Nicolas Cage, or his mother, Christina Fulton,” Hila Cage wrote in the March 23, 2023, statement.
“Nic is allowing his son and the mother of his child to commit despicable deeds against his daughter-in-law and his granddaughters, despite my plea for him to talk some sense into Weston and his promise to ‘take care of us if Wes doesn’t,’” the desperate mom wrote.
“I am disheartened to see how he is ‘taking care of us’ by funding his son’s litigation to cut me off from any financial support,” she added. “Meanwhile, (Weston’s lawyer) is being funded to paint me as an evil woman trying to capitalize on this mega star’s fame and fortune.”
After spending years attempting to heal Weston, Hila Cage claimed in court papers that she was forced to leave him because of the alleged infidelity and drug-fueled violence that made their relationship dangerous for her and the twins.
In his declaration, Weston Cage refuted the charge, saying, “I have never raised a hand to Hila.”

What Did Weston Cage Say In His Declaration?
In May 2020, Weston Cage claims Hila Cage “unilaterally removed” $57,000 from their savings account in order to purportedly settle a loan to her brother. In the same year, according to Weston Cage Coppola’s account, his ex obtained an $11,500 Small Business Administration (SBA) loan “and didn’t share the proceeds with me,” the records reveal.
“She used the money she received from that loan to fund investment accounts that she then did not disclose in this case,” he charged, adding that he’s paying $57 a month towards the loan.
According to Weston Cage’s self-declaration, his famous father only gives him $7,300 a month, of which $1,500 is used to pay the mother of his two sons. In addition, Weston Cage stated that pending a decision from the California Department of Child Support Services, he “voluntarily” paid Hila Cage $2000 per month.
Additionally, he claimed Hila Cage repeatedly shoved him and referred to him as “psychotic” and “manic.”
Hila Cage stated that Weston Cage’s lawyer had the upper hand and that she needs legal assistance to win the David and Goliath battle. Due to her inability to pay her previous attorneys, she was dropped by both of them.
“I find myself treated in a most deplorable manner, bombarded by legal documents and letters from multiple attorneys, embarrassed, harassed in a non-legal sense, questioned, and treated like a ‘criminal’ for merely requesting a court order for support so I can get back on my feet,” she stated.
Judge Firdaus F. Dordi ordered Weston to pay $991 per month until a settlement conference hearing on June 5th during a hearing on March 28, 2023.
