“No one wants to see her give fake birth and be killed off”: Amber Heard Not Losing Her Role in Aquaman 2 After Losing The Johnny Depp Trial Upset Fans
Amber Heard and Johnny Depp were one of the highly publicized former couples due to their bad blood. Having first met on the set of the film The Rum Diary in 2009, they began their relationship in 2012. Initially started as a love story, their romance turned black resulting in the aftermath which is still going on.
The former pair were involved in a defamation lawsuit this year which ended with lots of bombshells presented from both parties. Even though the verdict favored Depp, a new report has given a shocking update on the former’s acting career.
Amber Heard Reportedly is Still a Part of Aquaman 2
The 36-year-old actress, Amber Heard has been criticized for her role in the DC’s Aquaman ever since fans got to know her history with her former husband, Johnny Depp. Initially, she was reprising her role of Mera, Arthur Curry’s love interest in the film, with reports stating that her scenes were either being minimized or removed altogether due to the controversies surrounding her. Not just that, a petition was signed to remove her from the sequel that has already reached over 4.5 million people.
Her role in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom might not be altered as was debunked by the latest test screening of the movie. As per reports, the test screening happened to be of an older version of the film. In the test screening, her role was as fine as other characters with no changes spotted regarding minimizing or removing her role.
Aquaman 2’s Fans Are Not Happy With The Latest Test Screening Reports
As soon as the news broke on the Internet, fans were upset with the latest revelation. To think that DC Studios would ignore more than 4.5 million people and keep Heard’s role in the upcoming film even after strings of controversies disappointed them a lot.
Fans took to Twitter and shared their opinions on the same.

This movie will BOMB if they keep Heard. She sucked in the 1st one!! No one wants to see her give fake birth & be killed off- her agent already ruined the story line. If 4.6mil plus signed a petition, think of how many tickets will NOT be purchased! #AquamanAndTheLostAudience

How can they leave Amber Heard did they not legally acknowledge the petition to remove her during the trial and after. Disappointed DC

Mera either needs to be removed or recasted. I have no intention on seeing it until 1 of these 2 things happen.

No Dafoe and yet they keep Amber Heard in it despite the fact that they removed Depp from Fantastic Beasts when the lawsuit Amber lost in Virginia is far more nefarious. This shows the double standards at play. She was a proven liar & abuser. They need to remove or recast her.

Back in July, reports stated that the mother of one will be removed from the role with a source shared, “Warner Bros. decided to recast Amber Heard’s role after screen testing the movie. They are going to be doing reshoots with Jason Momoa and Nicole Kidman.”
Even though the test screenings are not the final product, it does not alters completely. It is still shocking for fans as Johnny Depp was asked to leave the Fantastic Beasts franchise after losing a libel case against The Sun in 2018 over a headline that called him a “wife beater” solely based on his ex-wife’s allegations.
Depp filed a defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife demanding $50 million for affecting his reputation after she wrote an op-ed in The Washington Post in 2018 claiming herself to be a “domestic abuse” victim. The actress counterclaimed him for $100 million. The court awarded him $10.35m in damages while Heard was awarded $2m for her counter-claims.
