The publicized breakup of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard was more the highlight due to its aftermath. It’s well known that their divorce was filed by the latter who also filed a domestic restraining order against her ex-husband on the grounds of domestic violence within a week of their split. Since then, they are at odds with each other who were also engaged in the defamation trial earlier this year.
Now that the actress has filed a new appeal to seek another defamation trial against her ex-husband after the previous one did not go in her favor, it seems she would use an unsent mail thread to win this trial.
Amber Heard Accused Johnny Depp of Hitting Her in an Unsent Email
The 36-year-old actress Amber Heard wrote an email to her former husband, Johnny Depp explaining how their relationship was actually been while they were together. According to the unsent email, which was penned in June 2013, she details her struggles with his alleged substance abuse and accuses him of assaulting her.
“You have hit me repeated. Something you should Never have done. What a f****** man you are,” in one part of the email.
She wrote in the email, “Many times you have hurt me. Physically and emotionally from the things you say and did while f***** up.”
Penning the fact that her then-husband became a “monster” as he was not in his usual happy and loving self. “The monster comes out and you become mean and horrible. The opposite of why I love you. And what I am to do? How would you be if you were in love with one person who was in fact, two? Both you, the love of my life, and the monster look the same.”
Explaining how she felt when Depp allegedly hurt her, she also stated,
“How f***ing confused I feel. I am mad. So mad. “How would you feel if you were sold false goods?? I fell for you while you were sober. A whole year. How could I know this lay in store for me? I feel like the biggest idiot in the world.”
This email was read out in court during the 59-year-old actor’s 2020 UK Libel case.

The Aquaman star went on to share how she metaphorically and in real life “cleaned s***, vomit, and p*** up” sharing how she has put up with him.
The email read, “I have been accused of crazy s*** – none of which I deserved – only to never hear an apology for your booze-fuelled zeal.”
She again wrote how his continuous assault would not have been “possible without the booze and drugs. NONE” hinting that the actor had hit her.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star sued Heard for $50 million claiming that she has defamed him by writing an op-ed piece in 2018 claiming herself as a “domestic abuse” victim.
The latter counterclaimed him with $100 million. Regarding her allegations, Depp was steadfast that Heard had been the one who violently abused him.
After weeks of trial, the court announced the verdict in favor of Depp and ordered his ex-wife to pay him $10.35m as damages while she was awarded $2m for her counter-claims.
