“Nope, not playing Johnny Storm”: ‘The Boys’ Star Jack Quaid Gives Disappointing Update on His ‘Fantastic Four’ Casting Rumors
Jack Quaid, star of Amazon’s The Boys series, is well-known for the portrayal of Hughie Campbell. He rose to fame after starring in the series. The superhero series has become popular among fans due to its unique plotline. The 31-year actor was recently in the spotlight as rumors of him entering the MCU spread.
He was the subject of Fantastic Four casting rumors. With the steady and continuous success of the current string of films of Phase 5, MCU is prepping for its much-awaited Phase 6. Fantastic Four has been the most exciting project of Marvel. Over the last two decades, three live-action movies have attempted to bring Marvel’s first family to life. However, the upcoming one has garnered all the attention as the casting for the leads has begun. Jack Quaid was caught in one such casting rumor, but the actor has acknowledged the claims.

Jack Quaid had a quirky reply to Fantastic Four casting rumors
Jack Quaid has been a superhero enthusiast since boyhood. His dream came true when he was cast in the upcoming DC cartoon series My Adventures With Superman. He will be playing Clark Kent in the DCU.
The actor was a recent subject of MCU’s casting rumors. The Marvel franchise is gearing up for its Phase 6, and Fantastic Four is one of the highly anticipated projects of 2025. As the casting for the famous Marvel family began, Quaid became a subject of it.
Jeff Sneider claimed on The Hot Mic podcast that The Boys star has almost probably been cast in the Fantastic Four revival as Human Torch, aka Johnny Storm. The 31-year-old was quick to respond to the rumors. He took to Twitter and had a perfect response.
The actor wrote that he is flattered that his name has been tossed into the rumor mill. Unfortunately, he is not playing Johnny Storm. He even invited readers to donate to the SAG-AFTRA foundation amid the ongoing actors’ strike. His tweet read,

Sneider later confirmed that Stranger Things breakout Joseph Quinn is being eyed to play the role. He further apologized to Jack Quaid. After the Avengers crossovers and Spider-Man 4, Fantastic Four is one of the most anticipated MCU films of the Multiverse Saga. Marvel is revamping the series after Fox failed to make it a huge success.

Jack Quaid is excited to play Superman
As a child, Jack Quaid was obsessed with superheroes. But he had a very innovative method of expressing that passion. The 31-year-old revealed he would wear a Batman cape and a white T-shirt with a triangular symbol similar to Superman’s logo but with a J instead of an S, for Super Jack.
The Boys star has since become a vital element of numerous film superhero stories. He played Hughie on The Boys for three seasons. But now Quaid is transitioning from being a superhero hunter to voicing the greatest superhero of all time, as the title character in the new animated series My Adventures With Superman.
The actor has stated his excitement to play Superman. Apart from that, he made his Marvel debut in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse as the Peter Parker of Gwen Stacy’s universe. The actor was part of Oppenheimer and played physicist Richard Feynman.
