Tatiana Maslany, who portrays lawyer Jennifer Walters (aka She-Hulk), wasn’t shy about her love for rapper Megan Thee Stallion. When showrunners revealed Megan would cameo in the show, Maslany was ecstatic. The 38-year-old told Variety about how she felt after knowing the news:
I probably was pretty close to tears with excitement. I’m such a big fan of hers.
This enthusiasm wasn’t a recent development. According to Jessica Gao, the show’s head writer, “She [Maslany] was a fan fan.” The idea to feature the Wanna Be singer came from co-star Jameela Jamil, who previously worked with the rapper on a reality show.
This choice fits perfectly with the show’s theme of powerful women. Director Kat Coiro stated that she “is really powerful, larger-than-life person, and we love the idea of She-Hulk looking up to her.”
While Hot Girl Meg has limited screen time, the post-credit scene featuring her and She-Hulk twerking to her hit song Body became a major talking point. Maslany described the moment as “the highlight of my life.” She further explained:
When Jess [Gao] was like, ‘We’re writing you a scene where you’re dancing with her,’ I basically died. Like, I fell off the planet. I fixated on that moment for two weeks, and I couldn’t talk to her. I didn’t know how to be around her.
This goes to show that even celebrities can be starstruck fans. Who knew even the She-Hulk herself was such a Megan Thee Stallion superfan?

They basically just let the two stars have fun and dance.
The Marvel star remembers it fondly, saying that as soon as the music started, she just had to let loose. She said she had been getting ready for this moment her whole life!
