Fans got the opportunity to witness that very aspect of Oda during the most recent chapter of One Piece.

One Piece Chapter 1117 has fans on the edge of their seats as Oda pulled off one of the greatest teases in the franchise’s history as well as reintroduced characters all the way back from chapter 47. Here is a recap of what went down in Chapter 1117 of One Piece.

The chapter starts with some pirates on Hachinosu discussing the possibility of the Sea Floor holding a vast amount of treasure. But this panel also features Don Krieg and Gin finally making it to the Grand Line. It also highlights Mont Blanc Cricket, Masira, and Shoujou getting ready for another dive into the sea as they listen to Dr. Vegapunk’s message.

It then pans to the Marine GS hospital as Koby and the other members of SWORD recover after their fight at Hachinosu, also listening to Dr. Vegapunk as he edges nearer to revealing what Gol D. Roger left behind.

However, on Egghead Island, we see the Straw Hats in a bit of a predicament as they find out the Frontier Dome Barrier is lowering and the clouds have stopped stretching. Usopp, being the bearer of bad news, points out that they still have a long way to go to reach the water. However, this isn’t the end of their problems as they find out one of the 5 elders, Nusjuro, heading straight for Sunny.

But just when Nusjuro gets ready to slash the ship, Jinbe uses Fish-Man Karate to launch Zoro into the Celestial Dragon, bringing back an advanced version of Rashomon, which ends up repelling both Zoro and Nusjuro as they recognize each other’s Kitetsu swords. Meanwhile Luffy, Bonny, and the Giants find themselves on the back foot against the Marines on the northeast coast of the island.

The chapter ends with the biggest cliffhanger to date as Dr. Vegapunk addresses the names of people who have the initial “D.” in their name. But just as he gets ready to reveal the “Will of D.”, Warcury tackles the Iron Giant, ending the signal to the broadcast. Eiichiro Oda has certainly left One Piece fans restless for the upcoming chapter that is set to release on the 23rd of June. Here is what to expect from One Piece chapter 1118.

The ending of One Piece chapter 1117 has certainly left fans on the edge of their seats for quite a lot of reasons. Chapter 1118 of One Piece will most likely pick up where it left off. The Iron Giant which Warcury knocked down, will probably put up a fight against the elders. Despite getting dropped and accumulating a decent amount of damage, the Iron Gian who attacked Marijoa 200 years ago will most likely put up a little more fight against the Elders.

Given how Zoro and Jinbe are yet to board Sunny, the fight against Nusjuro is more than likely to continue. Even if the two Straw Hat pirates do manage to get on board the ship, the Elder is surely going to give a chase which would ultimately force Jinbe and Zoro to guard the rear against Nusjuro. Meanwhile, Luffy, Bonny, and the Giants will have to pull off a miracle considering the predicament they’re in. However, considering they have the Sun God with them, a miracle doesn’t seem too far-fetched.

However, given all that, Dr. Vegapunk seems to be in the biggest pickle among all the characters. Given that the “Will of D.” was almost revealed in the previous chapter, it sure is interesting to see what lies ahead for his future. Also, though unlikely, Eiichiro Oda could finally reveal “Will of D.” to the One Piece fans in chapter 1118.
