Avengers: Endgame left everyone a sad bag of emotions and a huge uncertainty over what will happen next in the MCU. But we have gotten hints of what Kevin Feige has planned and some are certainly coming to fruition with the Disney + shows. MCU isn’t stopping as well since Black Panther 2 and Doctor Strange 2 are certain to happen. But there is one hero of the MCU who isn’t sure if the last movie of his trilogy will happen.

Although Ant-Man was a huge success and its sequel Ant-Man and The Wasp was one as well, a third film in the Ant-Man franchise isn’t a guarantee according to lead Paul Rudd.

Ant-Man 3 Not A Guarantee

Paul Rudd told Yahoo about Ant-Man 3 that:

“I don’t know. You need to make a call to the top brass and start a campaign to make it happen.”

While it’s true that Ant-Man was one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 2’s smaller films at the box office but that was in part due to the fact that it was up against a lot of sequels. Still, the movie made $519 million worldwide, which is undoubtedly an impressive haul. It’s sequel, Ant-Man and The Wasp took home $622 million before both Ant-Man and Wasp helped the Avengers fight Thanos in Avengers: Endgame.

While he was uncertain about the future of his MCU movie, but Paul had a lot of say about the fun he was having being an astronaut for a Pepsi ad with Taika Waititi and Peña:

“The way Taika works, and is also the way myself and Michael have worked in the Marvel films, is that we kind of stick with this template and play around with a few things. Taika really encourages it.”

We are happy that Paul has atleast reunited with some of his Marvel costars.

You can catch him in Avengers: Endgame playing in theatres right now.
