“People we know as awesome guys can be predators”: Wednesday Star Christina Ricci Seemingly Unhappy With Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis

Christina Ricci, who has been through physical and emotional abuse at the hands of her ex-husband, spoke out in support of victims after Masterson’s sentencing. The actress, who has been embroiled in a custody battle with James Heerdegen, has suffered in the past.
Masterson is making headlines around the world for his heinous act. Around 50 individuals, including Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, have vouched for the scandalized actor’s exceptional character after he was found guilty on both counts of r*pe. However, the married couple received backlash for the same and apologized for it, but it wasn’t enough for Christina Ricci.

In a letter to the Los Angeles judge, celebrity couple Ashton Kutcher and his wife Mila Kunis asked for compassion over the sentence of their 70’s Show co-star. The letter was written before Danny Masterson was given a three-decade prison sentence. The couple were criticized for writing in favor of Masterson. The actor duo took to social media, addressing the backlash they received, and apologized for the letter. It was not enough for Christina Ricci, who made a subtle jab at the couple.
The Wednesday Star slammed Kutcher and Kunis for supporting the disgraced actor’s character in letters to the judge. The actress has experienced severe physical and emotional abuse by her ex-husband, James Heerdegen. She took to her Instagram to express her support for the victims and bashed the married couple.
Addams Family star talked about how the people close to us often do horrible things. In her Instagram post, she wrote,
“They might not do these things to us and we only know who they were to us but that doesn’t mean they didn’t do the horrible things and to discredit the abused is a crime. People we know as ‘awesome guys’ can be predators and abusers. It’s tough to accept but we have to. If we say we support victims – women, children, men, boys – then we must be able to take this stance.”
Ricci added,
“Unfortunately I’ve known lots of ‘awesome guys’ who were lovely to me but have been proven to be abusers privately. I’ve also had personal experience with this. Believe victims. It’s not easy to come forward. It’s not easy to get a conviction.”
Danny Masterson was convicted guilty of raping two women at his Hollywood Hills home almost two decades ago, and he was given a 30-year prison sentence. The actor drugged and r*aped the women in 2003.
Christina Ricci has been a victim of abuse
Christina Ricci was allegedly the victim of her ex-husband, James Heerdegen’s emotional and physical abuse. The Casper star filed for divorce after seven years of marriage in July 2020. She received an emergency protective order after the police were summoned to their house the month before.
Ricci sought a restraining order against Heerdegen in January 2021, alleging severe physical and emotional abuse, which he denied. They later decided on a custody plan for their 8-year-old son, Freddie.
In court documents, she claimed her then-husband’s abuse began in December 2019, at which time she demanded a divorce. When the COVID-19 lockdown began in early 2020, the Wednesday star found herself trapped in a house with a violent abuser. Finally, the duo finalized their divorce in December 2022 and shared custody of their son, Freddie.
The Yellowjackets star wed hairstylist Mark Hampton in October of last year, and the couple welcomed their first daughter, Cleopatra Ricci.
