Model Stephanie Tyler Jones rose to fame by being the face of Mary-Jane Watson in Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The video game series is inspired and based on the long-running comic book including the various adaptations from other media.
The series follows Peter Parker and Miles Morales who as Spider-Men fights crime in New York City. The two superheroes also juggle with their lives as civilians. Marvel’s Spider-Man face model Stephanie Tyler Jones reports harassment
Stephanie Tyler Jones gained recognition after she became the face of Mary-Jane Watson in Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man. She recently took to her social media to report a horrifying case of harassment she had to endure due to creepy fans. She said,
“Over the weekend, some followers crossed boundaries. One even went to the extent of calling my workplace and leaving multiple voicemails wanting to speak with me and requesting I call back, which in unacceptable and considered stalking.”
Tyler Jones continued,
“My skincare page is not for Spider-Man or MJ fans. Bottom line is that I came into work this morning and immediately felt unsafe and uncomfortable hearing those voicemails. Please respect that I am a human being trying to make a living just like you, and I kindly ask for boundaries to be not crossed.”
The model added that the messages wouldn’t be answered; she would block the obsessive fans if they tried to make her feel uncomfortable. She added that if fans are disappointed to read the update about her life, they are free to un-follow her on social media.
Tyler Jones is not the first celebrity who has been harassed by fans as celebrities including Selena Gomez, Shawn Mendes, Gigi Hadid, Taylor Swift and more have reported to being harassed by the fans.

Stephanie Tyler Jones reveals she is ‘no longer actively auditioning’
The face model of Marvel’s Spider-Man who has received love and appreciation from the fans revealed in her statement that she is no longer auditioning for work. She said,
“I appreciate the love for her role in the Spider-Man games and the positive response to my version of MJ has gotten over the years. However I am no longer actively auditioning actor or model. The shoots I do now are purely creative outlet for myself and a way to collaborate with friends I love.”
Stephanie Tyler Jones does not voice the character of MJ in Marvel’s Spider-Man as Laura Bailey lends her voice to the character. At the time of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s release, some fans wondered if the makers had used another face model for MJ as she appeared with a new hairstyle. The developer; James Stevenson however clarified in a tweet that it was in fact the same model but they just changed her hair.
James Stevenson also took to her X account to share a statement after Stephanie Tyler Jones revealed the harassment she endured. He wrote,
“I shouldn’t have to say this, but don’t harass game developers, voice actors, mo-cap performers or face models (or anyone else). Don’t message them directly, and especially don’t track down phone numbers or personal information in an attempt to contact them.”
With this, the future of Stephanie Tyler Jones as MJ’s face in Marvel’s Spider-Man video game series seems uncertain. But nothing can be said until the makers make an official announcement.
