Chris Hemsworth kissed his wife instead of Natalie Portman in Thor: The Dark World

Chris Hemsworth has been playing the superhero character Thor for a long time. There are a total of four movies in the Thor franchise that the actor has been part of. Playing the superhero has been an interesting role for Hemsworth.

Natalie Portman is known for playing Jane Foster, the love interest of Thor. The duo shared a passionate kiss at the end of Thor: The Dark World, but to everyone’s surprise, Portman was unable to reprise her role while shooting that scene.
To work on this a special stunt double was brought in, and that was none other than Hemsworth real wife Elsa Pataky.

The Fast and Furious actress stepped in for Portman during reshoots. She was traveling with her husband and their daughter India Rose, at the time.
With the use of perfect technology and camera angle, the scene was seamlessly executed.

The 41-year-old actress spoke about the kiss during an interview. She said, “It was such a perfect solution, wasn’t it? They put his wife in my wig and costume, that’s why it was so passionate.”

The 39-year-old actor’s wife had appeared several times in the Thor franchise. She has made three cameo appearances, all in the Extraction stars movie. She appeared in Thor: Ragnarök as one of the Sakaaran nurses who treated Thor’s wounds during his battle with the Hulk. Pataky played the role of Wolf Woman in Thor: Love and Thunder.

A look into the career of Chris Hemsworth’s wife Elsa Pataky

Elsa Pataky is an actress and model who has starred in various films. She is recognized for her role as Officer Elena Neves in the Fast and Furious franchise films. The actress has also appeared in numerous other movies like Snakes on a Plane (2006), Give ‘Em Hell, Malone (2009), Di Di Hollywood (2010), The Wine of Summer (2013), and 12 Strong (2018).

Pataky played the role of a siren in the 2018 Australian supernatural crime-drama series Tidelands. She has made her appearances in various Spanish-language films such as Tiovivo c. 1950 (2004), Ninette (2005), and Los Serrano (2003-2008), a Spanish television series.

The Spanish actress met Chris Hemsworth in 2010, and within months, they were husband and wife. The couple are together for 12 years and share three children. They’re parents to daughter India, who was born in 2012, and twin sons Tristan and Sasha, born in 2014.
