However, there have been rumors lately that things might not be going smoothly between them. Yet, the power couple is proving their strong love despite swirling rumors of a possible split. They shut down these rumors with their adorable public support, which was witnessed by the Bronx native’s co-star Sterling K. Brown.
Ben Affleck’s Secret Role in Jennifer Lopez’s Recent Film
In her latest sci-fi film Atlas, Jennifer Lopez plays a data analyst named Atlas Shepherd who isn’t a big fan of artificial intelligence. In fact, she downright distrusts it. When a rogue robot (played by Simu Liu) threatens humanity, she teams up with another AI (voiced by Gregory James Cohan) to stop it.
But Atlas also gets some extra help on her mission, and it comes from a familiar voice. In an interview with the Entertainment Weekly, her co-star Sterling K. Brown (who plays Colonel Elias Banks in the film) revealed that Ben Affleck would sometimes read the lines for the film’s AI companion, Smith. The 48-year-old said:
Every once in a while, Ben would read the lines for Smith. And I think the newlyweds, still very much in love, I think she just wanted to hear his voice. And so sometimes, the reactions that you got from her were because she was listening to her husband’s voice.
So, according to Lopez’s co-star, it seems Affleck might have played a secret role in bringing those on-screen emotions to life. As Brown said that the two are very much in love, and the Latina actress might have simply enjoyed hearing her husband’s voice during takes.
Bennifer’s On-Set Affection—Genuine or PR Stunt?
Recent reports say Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck haven’t been seen together in a while, and the Caped Crusader actor was even spotted without his wedding ring. This has people wondering if they’re getting divorced. Now, J.Lo’s co-star revealed Affleck secretly helped her with her acting on set.
This could be a cute story about their love, but it might also be a PR move to distract fans from the divorce rumors. However, the Hollywood stars are no strangers to helping each other out! Lopez actually helped her husband with his movie Air by showing him what clothes were popular in the 90s.
She also returned the favor by having him wear a disguise to surprise fans in her documentary This Is Me… Now: A Love Story. They even teamed up for some funny commercials together for Dunkin’ Donuts. So, looks like they are genuinely willing to help each other.
