“Why should your girlfriend be treated any differently”: Prince Harry Was Confronted by Royal Family Members for Protecting Meghan Markle and Giving Her Special Treatment
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have had a pretty tough life especially when the duo got into a romantic relationship. Though the latter was already an actress in the Hollywood industry, sudden exposure to the British royal family and their world had put her in a completely different light which became quite overbearing for both of them.

As per the couple, the Duchess of Sussex had received major mistreatment from the British press and within the royal palace which even extended that the Duke of Sussex was confronted by the royal family for giving special treatment to his wife.
Prince Harry Take on Royal Family Concerning Over Meghan Markle Getting Special Treatment
The British royal family has always been in the headlines due to their completely different lifestyle. Ever since, Meghan Markle got involved with them by getting romantically involved with the royal prince, Prince Harry, his royal status made things hard for the duo.
In the second episode of their newly released Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, the Duke of Sussex opens up about the royal family members who were in disagreement over the former getting protection and special treatment in the family.
Though the Duke did not name any of the members in the series, he pointed out that the royal palace had “no comments” over the negative reports circulating in the media against his wife.
“The direction of the palace was ‘don’t say anything’. But what people need to understand is, as far as a lot of the family were concerned, everything she was being put through they had been put through as well.”
Not just that, he added,
“Some of the family members were like, ‘My wife had to go through that. So why should your girlfriend be treated any differently. Why should you get special treatment. Why should she be protected.'”
The Duke pointed out that the Duchess was targeted due to the “race” element which is why he wanted to seek protection from the family.
