Quentin Tarantino is one of the most decorated directors in the world. The American film director has been making a lot of headlines recently after the name of his final project was released last month. Tarantino has frequently said that he wants to retire after making 10 movies or by the time he is 60. The director has made 9 movies so far if we count the 2 Kill Bill movies as one. Tarantino also turned 60 last month so it was clear that he will make one final movie before he retires. The Movie Critic will be the name of Tarantino’s final film and it will come out in 2024.

Quentin Tarantino definitely has a special relationship with Samuel L. Jackson and it shows. Once in an interview, Tarantino revealed that he almost cast Jackson as Bill in the famous Kill Bill movies.

Quentin Tarantino was surely familiar with Samuel L. Jackson’s acting before writing Kill Bill in 2003. Having worked together in one of the greatest films of Hollywood, Pulp Fiction, Tarantino knew well about Jackson’s capabilities. Once in an interview with the New York Times Magazine, the director revealed that he frequently writes characters for The Banker actor. He said, “I definitely often write for Sam Jackson. I know his rhythms. I feel like he can turn my lines into poetry“.

Tarantino further revealed that he almost wrote the character of Bill from Kill Bill for Jackson. He said, “In fact, the character of Bill in Kill Bill, when I first put pen to paper, was Sam Jackson.” Tarantino further added that because he did not want to cast Jackson as Bill, he had to “mess with the process“.

Samuel L. Jackson did eventually make it onto the Kill Bill series in its sequel and played the role of Rufus.

Quentin Tarantino’s final project: The Movie Critic

The Movie Critic will allegedly be Quentin Tarantino’s final project in the filmography world. The movie’s filming is all set to start later this year in the fall and the movie will come out next year. Although the plot details of the movie are being kept under wraps so far, it has been revealed the movie will be set in Los Angeles in the late 70s. Some sources have also revealed, that the movie might also have a female lead actress this time.

Jackson are some of the names at the top of that list.
