Quentin Tarantino Eyes to Restore John Travolta’s Career With Final Film Like He Did Almost 30 Years Ago With Pulp Fiction
Pulp Fiction, a 1994 American crime film directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, Uma Thurman, and others, is widely recognized as one of the cult classics. The film, which TriStar Pictures rejected because it was too demented, later became the first Miramax film to be completely produced and received accolades.
Pulp Fiction is widely recognized as Tarantino’s magnum opus, with a particular appreciation for screenwriting. It is one of the films that helped stars John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, and Uma Thurman’s careers to rise in the business. The talented director is currently preparing his tenth and final picture, which could include well-known actors.
John Travolta is rumored to be a part of Quentin Tarantino’s final movie
According to a tweet by The Ankler reporter and The Hot Mic co-host Jeff Sneider, Quentin Tarantino’s tenth and final movie, which is rumored to be titled The Movie Critic, could feature John Travolta. He wrote,
“HOT RUMORS via THE HOT MIC: I hear Tarantino is saving a role in his final film THE MOVIE CRITIC for two of his former leading men. Here’s one of them,” The tweet was followed by the iconic scene of actor’s character Vincent Vega from Pulp Fiction looking around bemused during a scene.
Not much has been known about The Movie Critic but it has been reported via Movie Web that the movie is going to be set in Los Angeles in 1977 and center around a female lead. Fans believe that if Travolta is finalized as the lead male of the movie, it could bring his career to a full circle as he’d be working with Tarantino, who basically launched his career with Pulp Fiction.

Is Samuel L. Jackson the other lead in The Movie Critic?
Rumor has it that the other leading male part could feature Samuel L. Jackson, who also starred in Pulp Fiction and when asked about his casting, Sneider replied to one of the fans, “He was already kinda out there,” before adding, “I’ve heard of another one… and an actress too.”
Samuel L. Jackson, who is famously known for playing Nick Furry in the MCU, had responded to the rumors of him being a part of Tarantino’s tenth and final movie via Vulture and said, “No Comments”. However, the actor did take up the subject of the lack of black actors in Tarantino’s movies. He said,
“But when I saw Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, I mean, how many black people are in that movie? Maybe three. It was kind of like watching Goodfellas. When I was in Goodfellas, it was like me and somebody else.”
Bruce Willis is also, however, rumored to star in the movie, while Richard Jewelle’s Paul Walter Hauser has been offered the lead role, but there have been no announcements yet so nothing can be confirmed as of now.
Will The Movie Critic be Quentin Tarantino’s final movie?
It has not been announced or confirmed whether The Movie Critic is going to be Tarantino’s tenth and final movie, but back in 2021, the filmmaker shared that he is thinking of retiring. He said,
“I’ve been doing it for 30 years, and it’s time to wrap up the show. Like I said, I’m an entertainer. I want to leave you wanting more, you know, and not just work, and I don’t want to work for diminishing returns. I don’t want to become this old man who’s out of touch, when I’m already feeling a bit like an old man out of touch when it comes to the current movies that are out right now. And that’s what happens.”
Quentin, talking with CinemaBlend and said, “The movie is based on a guy who really lived, but was never really famous, and he used to write movie reviews for a porno rag. He wrote about mainstream movies and he was the second-string critic. I think he was a very good critic. He was as cynical as hell. His reviews were a cross between early Howard Stern and what Travis Bickle might be if he were a film critic.”
Back in 2012 during an interview with Playboy via THR, the filmmaker said that he would like to stop at a certain point adding that directors don’t get better as they grow older and usually they have their career’s worse four films in the end and he doesn’t want that to happen with him. Tarantino added that he doesn’t want that bad, out-of-touch comedy in his filmography, a movie that makes people think that the director still thinks the way he thought 20 years ago.
