Getting cast as Galactus in MCU’s The Fantastic Four has made Ineson the talk of the town now. However, what many might not know is that he has starred in some of the biggest franchises before and worked with some very well-known directors. In fact, some of his roles might even surprise those curious about the actor.
Ralph Ineson Has Worked in Some of the Best Projects
Ralph Ineson is making headlines for being cast as the villain Galactus in the upcoming The Fantastic Four movie (via The Hollywood Reporter). While this is the first movie starring the superhero team in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ineson is no stranger to the franchise as he has previously appeared as a random Ravager in James Gunn’s 2014 Marvel movie Guardians of the Galaxy.
Some other big franchises he has been a part of are the Harry Potter film series and the Star Wars film franchise. He played the role of the Death Eater Amycus Carrow in the last three Harry Potter movies and even had a minor role as a First Order officer in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, released in 2017.

In addition to these movies, he has also had roles in some of the best series. For instance, he had a recurring role in the British mockumentary sitcom The Office. Further, he also had minor roles in shows like Peaky Blinders (Connor Nutley), Game of Thrones (Dagmer Cleftjaw), and Chernobyl. Presently, Ineson is gracing the big screens as a priest in the supernatural horror film The First Omen.
What Do We Know About the Upcoming Fantastic Four Movie?
Ineson’s character Galactus is an intergalactic being who feeds off the life force of planets and he might have made a mistake by choosing Earth. The character was portrayed as a cosmic cloud in 2007’s Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and this did not sit right with the fans because the comics created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby see him as a cosmic giant.
The movie will star Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Pedro Pascal as scientist Reed Richards, and Joseph Quinn as Sue’s brother Johnny Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, and Julia Garner as Silver Surfer. Other actors who are cast in the movie are John Malkovich and Paul Walter Hauser.
Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer have written the screenplay and Matt Shakman will be directing it. According to The Hollywood Reporter, shooting might begin in England in mid-summer.
The Fantastic Four is scheduled to be released on July 25, 2025.
