During an appearance at Netflix’s TUDUM global fan event, Zack Snyder spoke about his upcoming celestial epic Rebel Moon. The Army Of The Dead director said-
“I’ve been working on this story for quite a while. It’s about a group of farmers on the edge of the galaxy that get visited by the armies of the Mother World which are the bad guys. The farmers have to decide to fight or submit. I don’t want to give it all away, but if they had decided to fight, let’s say that was an option, they would have to travel around the galaxy to find warriors to fight with them. And so, it had us traveling quite a bit.”

The Zack Snyder-directed Rebel Moon plot revolves around a colony based at the edge of a galaxy who are threatened by a tyrannical force. Kora a stranger living with the villagers becomes their ray of hope during their worst time. Kora goes on a mission to assemble a group of warriors who have a common objective of revenge and redemption.
The Man Of Steel director is very well aware of the comparison that would be made by the critics and the audience between Rebel Moon and Star Wars. He is ready to embrace the criticism as well as the critical acclaim with his much-hyped project.

Zack Snyder is the actual brain behind The Rebel Moon as the talented filmmaker has co-written, produced, and directed the intergalactic drama. The screenplay of the upcoming movie is co-written by the Army of the Dead fame Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad of the historical epic fame 300. The cast of Rebel Moon includes- Sofia Boutella, Anthony Hopkins, Charlie Hunnam, Staz Nair, E. Duffy, Cary Elwes, Djimon Hinsou, Doona Bae, and Jena Malone.
During an interview with a reputed media outlet Entertainment Weekly, Zack Snyder directly hinted towards the development of the sequel of Rebel Moon. He said-
“It won’t be long after as Netflix can do things that a traditional studio can’t do as far as how close together the movies are released.”
According to the director, he had conceptualized the story of Rebel Moon almost a decade but couldn’t bring it to fruition. As the official trailer of the space opera has finally landed, Zack Snyder’s fans cannot wait to experience his brilliance onscreen.
