Robert De Niro Falls Victim to Burglary as ‘Known Burglar’ Stole Christmas Presents and Played With 76 Year Old Actor’s iPad Before Taking Off
Legendary American star Robert De Niro is considered to be one of the best actors of his generation and is renowned for his collaborations with Martin Scorsese, a major figure in the Hollywood industry. He has a significant role in the entertainment industry however one would be shocked to know that he had no idea what was happening at his house when a burglar was caught breaking into his house.

A female burglar had been arrested after she was caught allegedly trying to steal presents for Christmas at his house in New York City. With all the hustle going in, he was rather unaware of the situation.

A female burglar was caught searching through the 79-year-old actor, Robert De Niro‘s Upper East Side townhouse on Monday. The police saw the woman enter his building’s basement at around 2:30 a.m.
Officers with the NYPD’s 19th Precinct public safety team saw Shanice Aviles, a female burglar trying to open doors to commercial buildings in the neighborhood before she got to the townhouse, as the sources told The New York Post.
The law enforcement sources mentioned that the burglar was playing with his iPad. While a police official shared, “She was stealing Christmas presents.”
The sources also added that the famed actor was upstairs sleeping at the time of the incident. Even his daughter, who was in her bedroom at the time was unaware of the same. The Casino actor responded, “I’m good. Thank you,” when a reporter asked if he was alright.
Shanice Aviles is a Known Burglar With At Least 26 Past Arrests
The 30-year-old woman reportedly started doing crimes, majorly burglary at the time of the COVID pandemic. She has a total of 26 prior arrests, at the scene, and charges were pending earlier in the morning.
The officials added that she was picked up for at least 6 burglaries between Nov. 25 and Dec. 8 on the Upper East Side.
She even commented on her recent burglary stating, “I didn’t go to Robert De Niro’s house!” The officers were keeping an eye on her and followed her into De Niro’s rented $69,000-a-month house. As per reports, they were not aware of the resident who was living in the house.
She was led to Manhattan Criminal Court for her arraignment.
Authorities reported that Aviles also has two open bench warrants along with pending cases in Manhattan and Queens.
